This tutorial will show you how to make the first two pattern repeats for the very nicely textured Gooseberry marmalade shawl pattern.
After you learn the pattern repeat, you can make your shawl as large or as small as you want.
You continue the pattern repeat and finish it with the row of popcorn stitches that originated the beautiful name of this shawl: little crochet gooseberries strung on a chain.
Use any yarn with a long gradient that you have in your stash.
This pattern is suitable for a wide range of yarn weights and you can use the hook that goes with your chosen yarn.
The yarn used for the sample in the introduction is called Caribe by Miss Tricot Filati. One 150 gram cake was used to make the sample shawl.
