UAF Geophysical Institute sea ice geophysicist Melinda Webster presented the talk, "Going With the Floe: A Year Adrift in the Arctic Ice Pack" on February 2, 2021, as part of the Science for Alaska Lecture Series.
What can #geophysics tell us about the Arctic ice pack? Researchers at UAF’s Geophysical Institute from and leading experts in Arctic climate from over 30 countries met on the MOSAiC International Arctic Drift Expedition in 2020. Melinda explains in depth her part of the expedition and the challenges that the team overcame to get the valuable data.
