Santa Monica Studios have just released a brand new God of War Ragnarök trailer as well as announced a lot of brand new information, so I’m going to breakdown everything we know so far about it in a top 10 format.
I take you through the God of War Ragnarok Release date as well as the new characters coming to the game such as Thor who will be looking to seek revenge his sons against Kratos and Atreus. I also break down the new god of war collectors and jotnar game editions which will be available for pre-order from July the 15th, so at the time of writing this description, today! The God of War Ragnarök Collector’s Edition comes housed in a beautiful box representing the Knowledge Keeper’s Shrine. This shrine was of the triptychs that Kratos and Atreus came across in God of War (2018), depicting the tale of a powerful seer, the Giant Sorceress called Gróa, who was the first to have a vision of Ragnarök.
The God of War Ragnarök Jötnar Edition is a premium selection of items designed with care by our team here at Santa Monica Studio to be a collector’s set worthy of our amazing fans. You’ve seen it unboxed in the video above, but we’ll also run you through its contents here.

Taking place three years following the events of the previous game, Fimbulwinter, a great winter that spans three summers, is drawing to a close, which will begin the prophesied Ragnarök.
Kratos and his teenage son Atreus, begin to traverse the nine realms to seek out a means to prevent Ragnarök, while attempting to uncover answers behind Atreus’ identity as Loki.
Along the way they will explore stunning, mythical landscapes, gather allies from across the realms, and face fearsome enemies in the form of Norse gods and monsters. As the threat of Ragnarök grows ever closer, Kratos and Atreus find themselves choosing between the safety of their family and the safety of the realms...
Their journey will lead them to the Norse God of War, Týr, who was previously believed to be dead.
Their conflict will lie with Thor, the Norse God of Thunder, and ally-turned-enemy Freya, who seeks revenge following the death of her son, Baldur.
The Leviathan Axe, Blades of Chaos, and Guardian Shield return.
