Collab with Jörg SpraveNirodha2024-03-29 | ...AMAZING plasma sword technology! DBD plasma created around magnet array: Possible ‘lightsaber’ tech?Nirodha2022-08-22 | ‘This is the way”… (perhaps :-))
Inspired by the great efforts of @hacksmith, @allenpan and @ALEXLAB
making ‘real life lightsabers’ or plasma blades if you will… I decided to have a go myself.
Allen Pan has… besides his lamellar flow fuell burning saber also made a blown arc plasma dagger. In the video showcasing that dagger he explained it was not possible to make a blade which has plasma flowing around it from the edges.
As a response to the great retractable blade made by the team at Hacksmith Industries many of the fans asked if it would be possible to have something physical inside the plasma to be able to parry other weapons and hit objects. James explained this would mess with the lamellar flow of the flame.
I ended up creating a magnetic field influenced dielectric barier discharge around a cylindrical (lightsaber blade) shape. It looks hella cool if you ask me and even sounds a little bit like it’s sci-fi equivalent. The magnetic forces cause the discharge to spread all along the blade. Without the magnets it acts as a regular jacobs ladder with flammable material in between the elektrodes.
As the videos show the current material choices are far from practical as the dielectric barrier can’t take the onslaught of the discharge and the electricity looking for the route of least resistance straight through the airgap between the magnets and straight through the pvc barier itself.
I want to scale up to a ceramic (corundum) barier and use copper tape as elektrodes. The corundum comes in the perfect shape as protection for thermo couples. Even has the rounded tip built in. Ofcourse this material will not withstand any of the forces a blade should… but the first aim is to create a system which can maintain a stable plasma field for long periods of time.

SNIPER was/is a co-development with Liam a.k.a. Bang Spectre Armaments or Spectre.
Full Tilt is a semi auto remote line operated mag in grip HPA nerf blaster (or rather foam dart blaster).
SNIPER core is a normally open breech core design which allows dart to be propelled with regulated high pressure air. Think of it as a Polarstar engine for foam darts.
I start the video by saying ‘as you all know’... This ofcourse isn’t true since this is only the case for those who follow me on Instagram. I appologize for this discrepancy but thoroughly encourage you to follow me on insta aswell as subscribe to this channel and leave a like if you feel inclined to do so.
This channel will focus on foam flinging and HPA in relation to it. I will also attempt to do more video’s in the future as I have been very bad at making or uploading any thus far.
Feel free to ask any questions you might have. I will try to answer all of them unless this video goes viral somehow 😂 You never know these days what comes up in your suggested feed.First Vert Ramp drop-in on Quad Skates in 13 years!Nirodha2020-07-30 | Hi everyone! Follow me on my journey to get back into agressive quad skating at 39 years old :-). It was 13 years ago since I last dropped in on a vert ramp and I thought I would film my very first attempt(s) for you to enjoy.
Besides the fact I’m just getting back into skating I was also riding on my completely new, custom setup. Adaptbrand boots custom made to my liking combined with an SLS printed Carbon filled nylon skate plate and GrindBlocks. Those parts were designed by me and specifically fit the Adaptbrand sixmount system without the need for a soulplate in between. This makes for a very light yet incredibly strong setup. It helps a lot that Adapt boots are Carbon shell boots without a cuff. I love these skates and thus far they are holding up to everything I throw at them. The blocks also slide like butter!
If you want to learn more about these skates you can have a look at my insta account:
Please feel free to hit the like button and subscribe if you want to see more of my content in the future. I like anything that either rolls, slides or shoots and my content is most likely to adhere to atleast one of those things if not combine some :-)
Big thanks to Pieter and Olga from Adaptbrand for building me these boots.
Lastly a shoutoot to my newfound aggresive quad skating friends from the ‘Quads Only Night’ events in Skateheaven Edegem Belgium (Europe). Glad to be skating with you all every now and then and looking forward to more events!Test firing Nerf Liberator GEN2. Remote rig select fire HPA powered ‘tiny’ mag in grip blaster.Nirodha2020-03-05 | The first iteration of Liberators had an issue with dart scramble inside the mag after each shot. All the complexity is taken out of the blasters and that means there is no moving sealed breech. Essentially it is a blowpipe with a magazine in it.
This second generation is based around angled 3D printed mags which have a stronger spring inside them and a much better guided follower in comparison to Talon mags. I had a hunch this could solve the issue if dart scramble. Turns out it does!
Next this blaster gets hooked up to an electro pneumatic hybrid rig which is governed by the microswitch trigger inside the blaster itself.
Obvisouly the setup shown here is just a proof of concept with regards to the GEN2 blaster itself.
Stay tuned for updates!(Aims to be) The worlds first fully self contained mag in grip semi auto regulated CO2 Nerf pistolNirodha2020-02-16 | This is a short clip of something I have been working on for a while. If you follow me on Instagram and Reddit you will know this puppy has its files shared for free on Thingi with a non commercial license.
It houses a SUPER core by Spectre Armaments (Liam). In the future it will house a SNIPER core! Te latter currently being developed by both Liam and myself. Stay tuned for that!
Forgive me for all my blabbering and apparent nerveousness shooting this video. It is the very first time I go on YouTube with my face on cam and I have to say it’s pretty nerve wrecking. Even though I am used to doing presentations professionally... This is a first.
There will be more on and about this blaster in upcomming video’s. I hope to share some gameplay footage of the upcomming Island Infestation 1 event in The Netherlands. If you are close enough to our location on the 6th of october... join the event! It promisses to be a cool one.
If you like this video please feel free to subscribe and hit the like button. Also... I do most of my updates on Instagram and a bunch on Reddit aswell. Follow me there if you are interested in those. I have lots more cool content to share with you guys in the future!

instagram.com/p/B2AUwrOov4o/?igshid=19a6h4wyc9t5oThe Liberators! WIP update: select fire HPA Nerf blasters. Sneak peak!Nirodha2019-04-09 | Long ways to go everyone (oh and sorry for the cracky voice... I’ve been sick for an entire week). The updated prints just came in the mail and I had to share this with you. Here are the first pair of Liberators I will build for myself. Moved the position of the trigger forward to accomodate my large hands.
These two bad boys will be powered by a back and chest worn rig with two 12mm hoses comming of of it. Yes! Dual wield!!
It is an elektropneumatic system in that it is ‘triggered’ by the microswitch trigger on each blaster to dump a volume of pressurized gas through the ‘sealed magwell’ and hopefully fire a half length dart at around 100dps.
All the components to make the dart proppel... both electric and pneumatic are on the rig with the exception of the microswitch triggers. The wires comming of of those triggers are routed to an XT30 connector inside the back of the picatinny rail of each blaster. It can match up with an XT30 male connector that is attached to a wire running alongside the 12mm hose.
On the rig there will be a select fire switch for each blaster (on the chest portion). Allowing to switch between Safe, semi auto and full auto.
It’s gonna be awsome!
Best,
Marten (NIRODHA)
P.S. I have bits and bobs comming in every day for weeks on end... mostly from China. It’s going to take a while before everything is here to complete the build but I will share updates along the way.Nerf Liberator (WIP) semi or full auto (soon) remote HPA powered ‘tiny’ blasterNirodha2019-03-01 | This is a work in progress! Proof that semi (or even full) auto can be achieved without a moving breech in an HPA mag fed setup. The Liberator is a single piece 3D print (printed without support in PLA). In the front is a short PVC barrel with an orange tip.
The whole thing is in basically a ‘sealed magwell’ with internal dart finger to perfectly centre each dart and for this test it has been attached to the front of a high powered springer (The Selket by Raijar). The bottom of the mag has been taped shut. Without the Liberator attached to the front of the Selket it shoots around 265 FPS... it powers the Liberator to shoot between 95 and 115 fps. Pretty decent performance I’d say! Since it has no moving parts it is also unlikely to jam.
Next phase is to hook it up (via a feed hose) to a remote rig consisting of an HPA tank with regulator(s)... a battery powering a trigger switch on the blaster to in turn actuate a relais switch which will trigger a solenoid 2/3way valve NO to dump a pilot volume through the remote feed line and ‘spit’ the dart out of the blaster... all the functional pneumatics will be on the rig (in the backpack or on a hip belt). One could also add some smart electronics to make it select fire :-). The blaster will only have a trigger switch and a quick connect for both the feed hose and the wires from the trigger... those wires will be neatly routed to be able to co-exist with the feed hose.
Should make for a very fun to play with system. All the weight is there where it would be already anyway... close to the HPA bottle. The blaster is tiny and leightweight!
