ReaperWoodworksThat's a huge bench! Weighing in around 37 metric tons, these benches were a lot of fun to build. Both made of construction grade lumber, milled flat, nailed and glued together. SOLID!!!! One for indoors, one for out. Both finished with General Finishes antique walnut stain.

This is my entry for the Instructables.com Minecraft Challenge. The idea was to build anything Minecraft related. My daughter wanted a pencil cup, and I had some scrap material to get rid of, so off to work we went! I used some Maple I got off a pallet as well as some Mahogany that was some kind of dunnage that I found in the parking lot of a Home Depot. Something about one mans trash is another mans treasure? Anyway, here it is.Turn your own Wooden MalletReaperWoodworks2018-01-23 | This is my video to accompany my first ever instructables.com write up/article. They are having a first time authors contest and I decided to give it a shot. Head over and drop me a vote?
I made this mallet out of Poplar and a small Walnut wedge that came from my buddy Mark Shea over at WoodworkingSTL.
It's a simple design and very functional. It's a shop tool so it doesn't have to be pretty, it just has to smash the daylight out of stuff when I need it to. This will mostly be used for assembly work as its a softer wood.
Thanks for watching!Lathe turned Phone Stand HolderReaperWoodworks2017-11-06 | A quick video showing how these little phone stand holders are made. Just comment below, subscribe, share, tell a friend...just kidding, just leave a message below, I don't care what it says, just say something. Winner will be given the choice of a couple different pen styles I have in the shop. I'll get that list together and let the winner know. I'll put examples up on my instagram later in the week.

I went down and dirty on this one but its insanely effective and makes getting to these 2 tools a snap. I always use them with the mini dust deputy on my shopvac, so it made perfect sense to keep that all together in one spot.
And a big thanks to Ryan Bitters over at http://waylightcreations.com for his music that he provides for makers for FREE! go check out his stuff too!I made a dice towerReaperWoodworks2017-04-22 | A friend at work asked if I could make a dice tower. I can make anything. Usually. So, with that being said, I made a dice tower! This is made from some 4/4 cherry that I had in the shop. I resawed everything down to around 1/4 inch. Black felt in the box which I'm not super happy with. According to my wife there are different grades of felt, I had no idea.

I got the inspiration from Paul Jackman's items that he's made from turning plywood on its side as well as Tim Sways inspiration to reuse what you have. I love how this desk turned out! Top and legs all look amazing. I built this to go flush up against the wall so no more losing pens or paper down along the gaps. I reused the glass top from my previous desk and made the top to fit those dimensions. Get out there and reuse what you have when you need some new furniture!
