This post is dedicated to Tanner Petulla a.k.a. Getter a.k.a. Terror Reid...and oh yes, to all the little bitch ass haters out there. I swear, everybody's got something to say about everything nowadays.
To read this week that miserable basshead wooks were booing Tanner and throwing shit at him DURING HIS SHOW, because they didn't like him playing stuff off his new album, Visceral, which the tour WAS IN SUPPORT OF, pissed me off beyond belief. Like who TF do you think you are as a fan to boo and throw shit at an artist, who also just so happens to be a human being, for choosing to go another direction? It's real simple...if you don't like the music an artist is putting out, don't listen to it. Most certainly DO NOT GO TO THE SHOW AND BOO THEM and FOR FUCKS SAKE, you're a first-rate POS if you go throwing stuff at them. Like seriously, go fuck yourself.
Because of you Tanner has decided to cancel the rest of his tour. Sorry man that you had to deal with this bullshit. Hold on tight and you do you brother. You said it yourself "This ones about hanging in there when you think everything is falling apart. You are not as hopeless as you think." Don't listen to those crackhead bastards.
For those who don't know Getter, the dude is a creative genius. Not only has he cemented himself as force in the electronic dance music world (1.5 million monthly Spotify listeners), but he also is an accomplished rapper performing under the alias Terror Reid (another 500k monthly listeners). And people want to ridicule him? How about trusting this visionary, laying off the meth, and realizing that not all music is made for moshing and head-banging. Visceral IS different, and different is good. "Hold on Tight" isn't his usual style, but it's a great f'ing song.
And while I'm venting...Rock With This runs a ticket group created called The Concert Ticket Exchange which was created to eliminate scammers. We spend our free time vetting people for sometimes 2-3 hours a day to keep the community safe. And people IN THE GROUP have the audacity to talk shit to us if a scammer happens to slip into the group. Really? Really?
Sorry for the vitriol, but I'm pissed and needed to get this shit off my chest. But now, I'm going to take a few deep breaths...ease my mind...and get ready for Coachella.
