In a world overflowing with information, opinions, algorithms, and instant answers, Scripture shows us that wisdom is something deeper than knowledge. Biblical wisdom is God’s way that leads to God’s life, and it begins when we humble ourselves, admit we do not already have it, and allow God to speak first. When we seek wisdom from the Lord, put His truth above our feelings and preferences, and apply it in everyday life, we begin to build something steady, lasting, and beautiful.
In this message, Pastor Ethan explores the following Scriptures:
PROVERBS 4:1-2 ESV
1 Hear, O sons, a father's instruction, and be attentive, that you may gain insight, 2 for I give you good precepts; do not forsake my teaching.
PROVERBS 4:7-9 ESV
7 The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever you get, get insight. 8 Prize her highly, and she will exalt you; she will honor you if you embrace her. 9 She will place on your head a graceful garland; she will bestow on you a beautiful crown.”
ECCLESIASTES 12:11-12 ESV
11 The words of the wise are like goads, and like nails firmly fixed are the collected sayings; they are given by one Shepherd. 12 My son, beware of anything beyond these. Of making many books there is no end, and much study is a weariness of the flesh.
