Before I went out earlier today, I checked the radar and satellite data. Since it can be sunny one minute and pouring three minutes later now, it has become something of a habit. I looked at the imagery, and could see the early stage WV Stream, and it looked like it was probably raining right then – or would be in short order. AccuWeather however said mostly sunny and no rain. It’s borderline unfathomable why I went with AccuWeather’s forecast – vs. my extremely well developed ability to know what I’m looking at, but I left my umbrella at home.
I didn’t make it a block before I was being rained on – with the sun out. That’s another extremely common occurrence these days. As one might imagine, studying people’s reaction to these impossible weather conditions when I happen to be out in them is one of my main focuses, and today gave me a couple of gems.
I barely made it another block before I passed a pollster / campaigner. They are all over the city for every topic imaginable, but as we all got rained on in the sunlight by this bizarre sideways rain-mist, she said “Spare a moment for the environment?”
Barely another block passed, before I saw the only person I saw all day, who was actually prepared for the conditions at hand. While the sun was beaming down and the rain-mist was falling, one woman in a blue summery dress had her big blue umbrella and her sunglass on… she had a big smile on as well. Too bad I wasn’t a photographer for Vogue or something. It was a great picture.
You can see how preposterous – this all is. The fact that there are these canvassers every 50 ft. these days like a strategically placed army for every conceivable topic screams fraud loudly enough by itself, but what “Environmental Activism Group” could this woman be collecting money and signatures for (while standing in the sun-rain), that can even comprehend what we are looking at here, much less make a spit’s worth of difference peddling useless misdirection in a geoengineered world? How is it that standard gear for walking out of the house these days is sunglasses AND umbrella, and only the woman in the blue dress and I have noticed?
