I chose to add all of the sounds into this video with hardly any talking, just where I am chatting with the ladies (chickens) and the sounds of watering, feeding and harvesting (plus a little of my son talking about the cotton candy sunset) - I hope you enjoy this peaceful simple morning routine that we do every day. I live in SUCH a negative mindset that it is SO hard to get out of - So i have been (for over a week now) making an EXTREME effort to tell myself positive things when I notice my mind spiraling. I asked my therapist about this and she said it is the most important to make sure that the positive statements that you are saying about yourself are TRUE though. Not like "I am perfect, I am healthy, I am rich" but more like "I am working towards getting healthy. I am loved, I am blessed. I live in a beautiful home with my beautiful family. I have a wonderful life. I am good at asking for help" etc. Things that have a positive and hopeful, uplifting undertone instead of hopeless and negative. Its not toxic positivity if its just filled with gratitude and hope, more about making my mental state and the path most traveled into a more hopeful one instead of hopeless. I also talk in this video about my new diagnosis of Chronic Reactivated EBV or Epstein Barr Virus. My Lyme disease test came back negative, thank god but this test came back positive and two doctors gave me the same treatments and diagnosis (i wanted a second opinion so I went to a new doctor) so I am just trying to navigate what this means for me in the future.I also talk in this video about weaning off SSRIS (lexapro) and that if it doesn't work I will get either onto a new medication like a different SSRI or SNRI but I hope I can manage without. When I filmed this it was after about a week doing the challenge, but only 2-3 days of REALLY doing it. (because of birthday shenanigan’s) - so not much results. BUT i do have some good results to share! My headaches and jaw clenching are ALREADY better, I am finding quitting social media to be THE most difficult part, but (as i write this) I am now 5 days social media free! I haven't scrolled AT ALL. I am also now looking into listening to good books like I do here. I am listening on audible to Atomic Habits which i had recommended by many of you, and also some real life friends! I am on week 2 of eating my factor meals, (not sponsored) and am enjoying them SOOOOO much! They have REALLY helped me stick to my healthy eating plan and get a wider array of veggies/proteins. WHAT IVE LEARNED IN THERAPY TO HELP MY HYPOCHONDRIA / HEALTH ANXIETY RawBeautyKristi 2024-01-02 | 2 years ago I suffered from a severe mental health crisis that forced me into therapy and mental health medication. During that time I learned a LOT about myself and what causes my severe and debilitating hypochondria *(health anxiety) - Today I wanted to share with you all what I have learned in doing 2x weekly therapy and EMDR. I have done SO much therapy and have reduced my anxiety by around 90% in regards to my health. I now worry (what I feel) is a relatively normal amount about my health and haven't spiraled about my health in over a year. That is UNHEARD of for me. I used to think that there was no hope for me, that I was doomed to ruminate and stress for the rest of my life about my health, but through TONS of work, medication, and consciously not googling - I am MUCH better. I was CERTAIN I would live this way forever, and I am no longer stressing about my health, even WITH new concerning bodily sensations popping up. I want to say, I am NOT a doctor, I am NOT a therapist BUT I am someone who lives with this debilitating mental illness and I have found a LOT of relief with what I talk about in this video. I HIGHLY recommend speaking to a professional if you can, therapists can be absolutely life changing. I gained 40 lbs & Im addicted to social media. I CANT DO THIS ANYMORE. | NEW YEAR, NEW ME RawBeautyKristi 2023-12-30 | Today is DAY 1 of me documenting what I HOPE will be my new "health journey" which is overall really me struggling to feel ok. I have gained 40 lbs in the last 2 years. After starting anti-depressants (lexapro) I have put on a lot of weight. Not only weight, but I am noticing signs of pre-diabetes, insulin resistance and PCOS already lead me much closer to that, I am ADDICTED to social media and scrolling my phone for hours on end, I NEVER exercise, I have severe daily brain fog and struggle to concentrate whatsoever. I have NO energy, I have been clenching my jaw which is leading to chronic daily headaches on TOP of my already bad headache condition, I am ALWAYS tired and fatigued and I am struggling to keep up with life. These are symptoms, NOT excuses - I have done this to myself. I have allowed myself to get to a point where I don't exercise, and I eat far too much. I am hoping that if I am able to do somewhat of a document of my experience with this "challenge" then maybe it will help me to be more accountable. Normally I do things and THEN talk about them, but I also want to be more present online and so I thought it would be perfect to document that.
