Van Helsing (Game Maker Game) - Expand Dong Plays Shitty Games Expand Dong 2017-12-17 | Ever wanted to play a game based on the movie Van Helsing (staring Hugh Jackman)? Well we're in for a treat because this game is a first person shooter loosely based on that movie. You wield Van's famous Tojo Blades, dual pistols, semi-auto crossbow, and pump-action double-barrel shotgun; and you use these weapons to slaughter many demons from the game Doom--so this is a crossover, it seems. Speaking of crossovers, the Phone Police make a cameo at the end of the video.Some things wrong with this game:- It's clearly incomplete, as it is possible to leave the maze and wander within an endless void around the walls surrounding the demons. I couldn't find Mr. Hyde, even though the text mentions that is the mission of the level.- Long-range weapons don't seem to work when the enemies get too close to Van, resulting in me having to quickly switch back to the blades in order to kill that enemy.- Player movement is also really slow. I tried bunny-hopping to speed it up, but that didn't seem to affect Van's walking speed at all.- Van seems to emit high-pitched "uh's" when an enemy is hitting him, and when he dies he sounds like a puppy on helium. I thought he was supposed to have a deeper voice. You even hear how he's supposed to sound after clicking "Play" at the main menu.- I couldn't find any ammo pickups. There are lots of health kits, though.

In the first couple of seconds in the video, you can probably tell that I lost a life before starting this Perfect Run. From this playthrough I found out that you are allowed to lose lives before you reach the first checkpoint and still qualify for the gem.
