ANTI-GRAVITY FURY (or ANTI-GRAVITY 2) is the sequel/add-on from ‘ANTI-GRAVITY’ (named after WipEout HD Fury). I aimed to “expand” more on my production & 'sound design' capabilities in electronic music, following on from the 6 previous tracks I had produced for its predecessor. With FURY, I took the literal definition of that word and tried to apply it to most of these tracks, aiming for a more “aggressive” or “darker/expansive” approach to match it’s theme, creating a sort of contrast between AG & AG FURY, like light & dark (evident with both cover artwork).
I’ve had this idea for a really long time, especially since I didn’t have much time to make the first AG into a full length album like I slightly intended back in 2020, so I split the project in half, releasing what you know as ANTI-GRAVITY & giving myself some time to develop more creative ideas for the sequel. Either way, I had fun with this project & WipEout will always have a huge place in my childhood.
Just like ANTI-GRAVITY 1, these tracks took inspiration from artists such as Bonobo, Tycho, CoLD SToRAGE, Noisia, Todd Edwards, Bicep, M.I.S.T, Switchshift etc.

ANTI-GRAVITY is an energetic electronic 6-track EP fully inspired by the WipEout racing game series. I created this project mostly as Video Game Music composition practise while also still paying tribute to the game series, as it was one of the first few games that got me deeply into electronic music. With ANTI-GRAVITY, I practise video game music structuring as well as composition & sound design. I really enjoyed making this project, it felt more personal to me (like my NIGHTINGALE EP) - it's heavily based on my university dissertation under the name 'Project: WipEout' which focused on the study & academic point of view of video game music composition/sound design, in which I was awarded a First Class for. I structured all songs so that they loop (as they would if they were in video games) twice. This project does take a lot of inspiration from a number of different artists such as Bonobo, Tycho, Commix, Goldie, Tuff Jam, Todd Edwards, Klaus Veen, way too many to name. You should definitely play WipEout if you ever get the chance, it's really cool.

After 3 years, I've finally finished my newest project NIGHTINGALE. It's a weird journey for myself, I've spent the past few years trying to improve myself as a person & an artist since the release of my 2nd EP XENO. This project is supposed to follow the narrative & theme of travelling and being a tourist, although I've never actually travelled anywhere or "explored" other cities/countries, it's more of exploration within myself, trying things I'm not familiar with, while still keeping my own musical style. I wanted to show that I've come a long way with producing music & being my own artist (see this as like a spiritual successor to my very first EP 'Bedroom EP' - trust me I'm not a huge fan of that EP at all). I wanted each song to tell a story, to have some sort of concept behind them, hence the aesthetic and artwork i've been keeping for the past few months or even year now.
I was actually fighting between 2 target audiences for this project, I wasn't sure whether I should appeal to my listeners who are more into my EDM stuff or my listeners who like my more lofi/R&B/hip hop stuff, but this project manages to have both influences in them.
Overall, I'm super glad with how this came out in the end, and a HUGE super thanks to everyone who helped out on the project, artists, voice actors, friends who gave me consistent moral support on the development of this project, I probably wouldn't have done it without you guys! And with that, AshZone's NIGHTINGALE era has now come to an end.
I've had this idea in my head for a long time now and I thought I might as well get started on it. I initially wanted it to be a small song but it turned out to be my biggest track on Ableton yet, using more than 60 tracks which nearly killed my laptop lmao.

Woo damn, I've been working on this song since February, just glad I finally got to finish it just in time for the game's release lmao. This song was really heavy, like, it made my laptop real hot as hell, oh well, I at least finished it. If I trashed the original song, then I deeply apologize. But I hope y'all really like it!
So like... I ain't still got a Wii U or a Nintendo Switch.... or Splatoon 1 or 2.... damn.
I remember hearing this track for the first time, I couldn't help but remix it. This was one hell of a track to work on, especially in the state my laptop is currently in too. If I trashed it or made the song even worse with my semi-trash skills, I deeply apologize. I hope you like it, I did spend a while on it. The download is free by the way!
Lyrics:

OoOoOOooOOOooOOOOOooooOOOoooOOOh (x4) Nah na na na na na na, Nah na na na na nah
Na (just a few more times)

Na (a few more, last time, I swear)
OoOoOOooOOOooOOOOOooooOOOoooOOOh (x2) Nah na na na na na na, Nah na na na na nah
This track somehow caused some unnecessary stress on me mainly bc of the fucking mix, damn. However, this is probably my biggest track I've ever created using more than 80 tracks (nearly full on destroying my laptop), and also my first (or second) attempt on Future Bass. Nice. Miku Hatsune is cool lol.
Wow.. I spent like 4 days on this. I initially wanted to make this sound darker and heavier than the original, like shit gets really real in this place. This was inspired by Modern Crisis City actually, and In my opinion, the original sounded weak (mostly the drums) which is why I made this. And I had to limit it since Ableton Live Intro only allows 16 tracks. I was only able to do this in school; if i opened this on my half broken old laptop, it would've exploded like it nearly did with my old Phantasmal Thicket remix lol If you love it, well then, thank you!
