So with this one I did A LOT differently to improve my gameplay. I've improved my routing, and started using some new techs like tactical resets as well as pausing on chests to increase my overall speed.
That being said, I have noticed that I really need to improve at the latter half of the game, mainly Heisenberg's factory and DEFINITELY Chris' section. I feel like I'd be able to shave off SO much more time if I can just consistently practice and improve in those areas. Imma try to do that for my future runs!
Ok so this run went SO much better in some ways, but a lot WORSE than my previous best in others.
First thing worth noting is that I did make the improvements I brought up wanting to make with my previous PB. I remembered all the key items and had a very strong idea of my routing this time around. As well as that, I also managed to implement some new time saves and skips which GREATLY improved the quality of the run, ESPECIALLY in House Beneviento.
Main issues I encountered this time around had to do with RNG as well as just generally fumbling at the very end. I nearly missed Angie during the Donna boss fight which lost me a lot of time, and during the factory/Chris sections I found myself getting hit by enemies that I normally avoid with ease.
In future runs Imma have to implement some more unique strategies during those parts and just generally have better awareness when dealing with enemies near the end!
Main thing I noticed is that I fumbled a few puzzles, and there were points where my nerves would get the better of me and I would forget very important key items/cutscene triggers (deer skull in the castle, key mold in the factory, and lever in the reservoir for example).
In future runs I could improve by remembering those important elements, as well as generally just having better pathing. There were times that I would get stuck/hit when I really shouldn't have as a result of being too hasty and it cause me to waste a lot of time. All things I can and will improve in the future though!
All things considered I am still incredibly proud of this, it sets a good milestone for me to cross in the future.
