The combined fleet uses the transwarp gate to journey into the heart of Borg space. A feint attack is quickly repelled by the Borg, but Worf in the Avenger and a small Klingon/Romulan fleet uses the diversion to sneak into the Unimatrix under cloak. A new transwarp gate is built using a captured Borg construction vessel, and the rest of the fleet jumps in. The Borg unimatrix and the Omega containment facility are attacked and destroyed, as is the cloned Locutus. At the last minute, the Collective dispatches a single Borg sphere back to 2364, destroying the USS Enterprise-D just after "Encounter at Farpoint", thus erasing the victory. The Premonition, protected from the changes in the timeline, travels back to eliminate the sphere (this provides a reference to an earlier comment by Picard in "Premonitions" - where he states he has seen the Premonition before).

- Carl Johnson kidnaps Alan Crawford
Management Issues is a mission in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas given to protagonist Carl Johnson by aspiring rapper OG Loc from the Burger Shot he works for in the Marina area of Los Santos, San Andreas.
Mission
Now, OG Loc has the technology and the ghostwritten lyrics to kickstart his rap career, but it seems he isn't fully satisfied yet. It turns out he now needs somebody to manage his business. He tries to get Madd Dogg's manager, Alan Crawford, to partner with him so he can get deals in the industry, but Alan doesn't think too highly of Loc and wants to prevent him from entering the music business. Loc suggests that the manager has outlived his usefulness and must be killed.
Carl is told that Crawford is attending an awards ceremony at the Cathay Theater, which happens to be only time he isn't with Madd Dogg. Carl then steals Alan's driver's vehicle and meets up with the convoy before 22:00, making sure that the car is clean and pristine. Now in the middle of the convoy, Carl holds his position, as the cars make their way to the awards ceremony where Alan, along with a young woman (possibly his girlfriend), will get into the vehicle. Surprised to find a new driver, Alan is helpless as his new 'chauffeur' drives to a pier in Verona Beach, with Carl bailing out just before the vehicle plunges into the water, killing Alan and the lady accompanying him.

"Captain's Log, Stardate 53550.8, With the Dominion War over, and matters stabilizing in the Alpha Quadrant, the Enterprise is helping to re-establish an outpost in the Barisa sector. Though we are not expecting any conflicts, there have been rumors of renegade Dominion ships in the area, who have refused to accept the Federation/Dominion treaty. The Enterprise is being sent to protect the outpost, should any hostilities arise."
The USS Enterprise-E, accompanied by two Akira-class ships, must eliminate rogue Jem'Hadar attack ships in the sector, in order to secure colonization efforts. A construction ship is also present to build a permanent outpost in the system. Once all Dominion ships are destroyed, a temporal vortex is detected, and a Starfleet vessel emerges, pursued by two Borg spheres. Picard recognizes it, like he has seen it before. The vessel identifies itself as the USS Premonition, and its CO, Captain Thaddeus Demming, informs Captain Picard that a major Borg invasion is imminent. Within the hour, a force of Borg ships will attack and destroy the nearby Starbase 612, the first step to the assimilation of the Alpha Quadrant.

“Alright, we're gonna hit the pay role van. It leaves the edge of China Town everyday. Bullets won't even dent the van's armor, so get a car and ram it off the road. Now hit it hard and the punk ass security guards should bail. Then take it to the warehouse at the docks and my guys are gonna take over from there. Now it won't be doin' it's rounds all day, so don't hang around.”
- Joey Leone
Van Heist is a mission in Grand Theft Auto III, given to protagonist Claude by Joey Leone from his garage in the Trenton area of Portland, Liberty City.
Description
Claude goes to Joey's garage in Trenton and Joey explains that they are planning to hit a Securicar pay role van. Joey instructs Claude to find a vehicle and ram the van until the driver bails out. Joey then instructs Claude to take the van to a warehouse in Portland Harbor, where some accomplices will get to the cash. When the mission begins, the Securicar is on the move on the edge of Chinatown.
The first objective is to damage the Securicar (indicated by a Damage meter) to the point where its occupants must bail out, as the van's door are locked. Because this particular Securicar is bulletproof, the player must ram the vehicle continuously until the damage meter is full; large and heavy vehicles such as the Bus, Coach or Linerunner are particularly useful damaging the Securicar quickly and pinning down the van when necessary. Upon ramming the Securicar for the first time, the van will begin to flee. In addition, the player accumulates a minimum of two stars by only hitting the vehicle twice.
When the Securicar is sufficiently damaged, its occupants exit the vehicle and flee, allowing the player to commandeer the van and take it to a garage in Portland Harbor. Even if the player has up to three stars, the Securicar's weight should allow the vehicle to push aside any opposing police cars. Regardless of how many stars the player has, their wanted level is nullified when the Securicar reaches its final destination.
Reward
The reward for completing the mission is $20,000 and the unlocking of two missions: Cipriani's Chauffeur for Joey Leone and Turismo for El Burro. In addition, the garage used to stash the Securicar in "Van Heist" may receive additional Securicars thereafter (even directly from the Import/Export garage), with payouts for every additional Securicar delivered decreased by $500 until the player may no longer receive any more money. Total: 10 Securicars.

“How 'bout I get somebody to write something for me, only they didn't know about it?”
- OG Loc to Carl Johnson
Madd Dogg's Rhymes is a mission in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, given to protagonist Carl Johnson by aspiring rapper OG Loc from the Burger Shot he works at in the Marina area of Los Santos, San Andreas. The mission introduces the player to the ability of stealth kills.
Mission
Carl recently stole a load of music equipment for OG Loc's album release party, but it seems that Loc can't rhyme if he doesn't have them to read off. Loc asks CJ to assist him in "borrowing" rhymes from famous rapper Madd Dogg.
Carl heads for Madd Dogg's Crib in Mulholland. He gains access, discovering that the home is heavily guarded by Madd Dogg's security. Nonetheless, Carl, unable to use his weapons apart from a knife, continues the infiltration and uses his stealth to make his way to the studio room, stealing the rhyme book. He exits the mansion in the safest way possible, and heads back to Burger Shot. Carl then meets Loc outside of the restaurant, giving him the rhyme book.
Mission Objectives
In order to complete the mission the player must:
Go to Madd Dogg's Crib. Get to the main door which is around the back of the mansion. Madd Dogg's personal security are patrolling the mansion. Do not use any guns on your way to the rhyme book or you will alert them. Use stealth to steal the rhyme book. Exit the mansion and get the rhyme book back to OG Loc. It's safe to use your weapons now, although it may be less risky if you use stealth to get past any guards on patrol.
Reward The reward for completing this mission is an increase in respect and the mission Management Issues is unlocked. The player is also allowed to keep the knife and remaining ammo for the Silenced 9mm from the mission.
Post mission phone call
Carl Johnson: What's happening?
Tenpenny: Don't try and hit me up with that ghetto babble, boy!
Carl Johnson: Officer Tenpenny. How'd you get my number?

Carl Johnson: No sir, I've just been busy, that's all.
Tenpenny: You're not busy unless you're doing something for us, you understand?
Carl Johnson: Yeah. Loud and clear.
Tenpenny: Nice to hear it, Carl. Call into the doughnut place in the middle of Market, we need to talk.

“Yeah? Well, fuck this gig, man. I'm putting together a listening party for my album, but first I need a sound system...”
- OG Loc
Life's a Beach is a mission in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, given to protagonist Carl Johnson by fellow Grove Street Families affiliate and aspiring rapper OG Loc, from the Burger Shot he works at in the Marina district of Los Santos, San Andreas.
Note: This mission can only be started between 22:00 and 6:00.
Mission
Carl recently helped OG Loc by taking out a Vagos gang member who sexually abused him in prison. Now working a menial cleaning job at Burger Shot, OG Loc is planning a house party to gain recognition, but requires a sound system to amplify his tunes. A beach party is occurring at the nearby Santa Maria Beach, and it so happens that they have a sound system in the back of a Pony van.
Carl goes to the party, talks with the DJ, and attempts to gain access to the sound system. He is challenged to a dance battle, scoring a minimum of 2500 points to pass. Once Carl has successfully passed the challenge, the DJ invites Carl into her van, which she refers to as her "office". Given the opportunity, Carl steals the van, throwing the DJ out and prompting two party-goers to pursue the van in their cars. In the ensuing chaos, Carl manages to take the van to a garage in Commerce, completing the mission.
Mission Objectives
In order to complete the mission the player must:
Go to the beach party. Get a score of 2500 or greater to gain access to the sound van. Steal the sound van. Get the van back to the garage.
Rewards
The reward for completing this mission is an increase in respect. The mission Madd Dogg's Rhymes is unlocked.
Although it is stated in walkthroughs for the game that the Dancing Minigame inside nightclubs is unlocked after completing this mission, it is in fact unlocked from the beginning of the game if Carl enters the Alhambra club.

Your starting position is somewhat far from the objective destination. To get there, you must first traverse through a series of obstacles. The first set of lasers (in the path to the left) can be jumped over by stacking crates. Later, you will come across patrolling security robots, which can be avoided by taking cover in the rubble nearby. Note that all turrets and robots can be destroyed using grenades or the GEP gun (if obtained on the first mission).
(Security Bot Mark 2 - The Security Bot Mark 2 is a small security robot that appears in Deus Ex)
Background
"An inexpensive security bot, a favorite of Third World countries and corporate security divisions. Not so mobile, but don't be fooled: we've lost plenty of agents to its well-armored assault gun. Like other bots, it's difficult to damage with ordinary bullets."
- Jaime Reyes in the training mission
Characteristics
The Security Bot Mark 2 is propelled by tank tracks instead of legs, making it faster and quieter than its larger counterparts. Visually, this bot is depicted as having four small machine guns. However, for gameplay purposes, this bot is armed with a single robot machine gun and has the same amount of firepower as the larger Page Bravo-3 Peacebringer, which is armed with the same weapon.
Notes
This bot is not specifically named in-game. In official strategy guides, it is referred to as Security Bot Mark 2 or Security Bot (Mark 2). The designation of "mark 2" is inconsistent with the number 3 used in its internal name (SecurityBot3). The manufacturer of this bot is not specified. However, its appearance suggests that Chiang may be the manufacturer. The number "100101" can be read on its sides, and Chiang's only known products, the Chiang Arcbot M2 and Chiang Arcbot M5, both have a 6-digit number in the same font and color. Additionally, its coloration is similar to that of the other two Chiang bots.

The Mole Tunnels are old subway tunnels inhabited by the Mole People and taken over by the NSF during the events of Deus Ex. The tunnels are accessed by a secret tunnel in the women's bathroom of the Brooklyn Bridge Station.
Layout
The south end of the tunnels contain a secret room inhabited by the NSF commander. The children in the area allude to its existence and claim a brick behind some cardboard boxes can be pressed to reveal the room. If the player talks to the commander he claims he's a reserve commander, previously an accountant, and doesn't want any fighting to happen. The commander tells the player that the LaGuardia Airport can be reached through the men's bathroom and points to the key on the table beside him. Upon finishing the conversation the commander tells all other NSF in the area to stand down and let the player past.
Kevin Bradley can be met on the way to the NSF commander, he can alternatively be used inside of one of the kids to get a hint on how to find the commander. The water next to him is meant to appear only if you turned on the water in the Brooklyn Bridge Station, but the logic is inversed and only appears if you didn't turn it on.
The north end of the tunnels contain the bathrooms, with the wall in the men's bathroom broken down to give access to the LaGuardia Helibase. The required key is to the north in the commander's room.
On the way to the men's bathroom north two terrorists can be heard talking about the traps in the LaGuardia Helibase tunnels, asking each other if the player has made it to them and claiming that "Paul" said not to take any chances, that he would know about the player's capabilities.

The subway tunnels are home to several junkies, Rock, a mechanically-augmented Zyme Dealer, and a gang known as the Rooks that has connections with a dirty UNATCO agent, likely Shannon or Tech Sergeant Kaplan.
The women's bathroom has a keypad code under the sink, opening secret door to the lower levels of the Mole People Tunnels inhabited by the NSF. Alternatively the secret door can be blown open with an explosive if it is known where it is.
The north end of the tunnels on the lower level has a caved in subway track, wooden pillars blocking access to the water control valves which can be turned on for Charlie Fann in return for the keypad code to the keypad in the women's bathroom.
Lenny can be talked to in the men's bathroom, offering to trade zyme for a LAM, however due to a glitch if the player doesn't have room to obtain it, it will be impossible to ask for it again.
The upper levels of the station are owned by the Rooks, headed by El Rey in the west. He offers a LAM in return for dealing with Rock, which can be used to clear the way to the water control valves.
A map in the east of the upper levels can be destroyed or lockpicked as an alternate way to obtain the keypad code.

The Borg have assimilated Jal'par, and learned the location of the Romulan starbase which is the temporary home of the Omega particle. With limited resources, the Borg must assimilate nearby vessels and starbases to gain enough ships to successfully capture the base. The Borg discover that the Federation is arranging a conference between the Romulans and the Klingons. Such an alliance would jeopardize the Collective's goals, and Locutus dispatches a vessel to intercept the Federation's ambassador, Spock, before he reaches the conference.

The United Nations Anti-Terrorist Coalition Headquarters, commonly abbreviated as UNATCO HQ, is the headquarters of UNATCO found on Liberty Island, New York City.
UNATCO HQ
The headquarters is located close to the Statue of Liberty, the bombing of which ostensibly prompted the relocation of UNATCO HQ to Liberty Island.
The complex has several levels. The first is on the surface and consists of a large building and a SATCOM station, with a helipad nearby. Just inside the building is a reception area consisting of a guard seated at a desk, some sofas and tables, and further along, another guard, and a retinal scanner. The retinal scanner permits access to the first level of the building, which consists solely of two offices. Level 2 is composed of two storage closets, two offices (one belonging to the UNATCO Chief, Joseph Manderley), a meeting room, and a break room. Level three contains the lavatories, the medical center, the armory, the communications center and the detention cells.
(The HQ has a fourth level accessible through the medical center, with a door which is initially locked. JC Denton escapes through this door from a Majestic 12 laboratory complex beneath the HQ, confirming that UNATCO is effectively a branch of Majestic 12.)
Notes
There is a safe behind the bookcase Manderley's office that cannot be accessed without the use of cheats. On one visit to HQ there is a weapon mod inside, but no way to reach it exists.
Island as well as as a list of "Suspects" including "Tracer Tong", "Robert Page", "Margaret Chow", "Max Chen", and "JoJo Fine"; "Organizations" including the "Bavarian Illuminati", "Templars", "NSA" and "Robert Page Industries"; and the questions "Who is JoJo's boss?" and "What is 'Ambrosia'?". The placement of this image is probably a developer oversight; UNATCO troopers and agents personally distributed the plague vaccine, but most are unaware of the Coalition's connections to Page and the Illuminati.
(In Invisible War, a datavault on level 3 confirms that the "skul-gun" requested by Gunther Hermann was in fact created and delivered to Sam Carter, arriving mere hours after Hermann's death in Paris.)

8-Track is a racing side mission in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas held at the Los Santos Forum in Playa del Seville and East Beach, Los Santos.
Description
8-Track is similar to the Hotring event in GTA Vice City. The player is required to compete in a 12-lap, stock-car style endurance race on a "hotring" variant of the Hotring Racer around a figure-8 circuit against 11 other competitors. Unlike Hotring, however, the durability of the player's and competitors' Hotring Racer is much better (although it is still less than most road vehicles), and the pitstop is no longer available; the player must also finish first to receive any reward. In addition, players must have a sufficiently high driving skill (at least 20% full) to enter for an 8-Track race.
Completion of 8-Track in first place is required for 100% completion.
Reward
The monetary reward for finishing first in 8-Track is $10,000. In addition, a #21 Hotring Racer and a "monstera" variant Monster will spawn on the northwestern corner of Los Santos Forum's parking lot once 8-Track is completed for the first time.
Trivia
The 8-Track name carries two meanings, either referring to the figure-8 layout of the track, or the antiquated form of media that predated the cassette tape. The track features jumbotrons that display the race in an overhead angle. In the remastered version, the race requires six laps to complete instead of twelve. Two variations of the normal Hotring can be obtained from this race: the Hotring A and the Hotring B.

Mission
Carl attains a lowrider car and drops by Cesar's house in El Corona. The two drive to the street race's starting point near the Commerce district and race against four other cars. Follow Cesar to the race start. Win the race.
Reward

Although completion of these races is mandatory for 100% completion (and for the $1 million award), since Carl has already completed the race here, he does not need to do it again, except to improve his time (which has no bearing on completion of the tournament).
Post-Mission Phone Call Script Unlike most of post-mission phone calls, this call will only be triggered after the mission fails.
Carl Johnson: Eh.
Kendl Johnson: Loser!
Carl Johnson: Yeah, yeah, Kendl. Will you ever grow up?
Kendl Johnson: I will when you will.
Carl Johnson: OK, it's a deal. Tell Cesar next time I'm gonna be in a faster car!
Kendl Johnson: It won't help you, LOSER!
Carl Johnson: Goodbye.

Claude is betrayed by his girlfriend Catalina when she shoots him during a bank heist, leaving him for dead. He survives and is arrested, but on the way to the penitentiary, the Colombian Cartel ambushes the convoy to kidnap another prisoner, destroying the bridge in the process and isolating the island of Portland from other parts of Liberty City, and he and another prisoner named 8-Ball manage to escape.
Introduction
“Sorry babe. I'm an ambitious girl, and you? You're just small time.”
— Catalina
The Introduction is a short series of introductory cutscenes serving as a pre-emptive explanation of the events leading up to the start of the first mission in Grand Theft Auto III, Give Me Liberty. It is not classed as a mission, but the cutscenes play whenever a new game is started.
Description
Bank heist
The Introduction opens with a shot of the Liberty City Bank, as a Banshee driven by Miguel zips by and stops in front of an adjoining alleyway to pick up a team of three bank robbers who have just robbed the bank: Catalina, Claude and an unnamed associate with Colombian Cartel attire. Claude falls behind while escaping, and finds that Catalina has killed the unnamed associate and has aimed the gun towards him. She tells him that she is an "ambitious girl" and no longer needs him, since she now has connections with Miguel, who is a Colombian Cartel leader, and shoots him. She and Miguel escape in the Banshee, leaving Claude for dead. Claude survives, however, and is arrested by the LCPD.

Grand Theft Auto III is a 2001 action-adventure game developed by DMA Design and published by Rockstar Games. It is the third main entry in the Grand Theft Auto series, following 1999's Grand Theft Auto 2, and the fifth instalment overall. Set within the fictional Liberty City (loosely based on New York City), the story follows Claude, a silent protagonist who, after being betrayed and left for dead by his girlfriend during a robbery, embarks on a quest for revenge that leads him to become entangled in a world of crime, drugs, gang warfare, and corruption. The game is played from a third-person perspective and its world is navigated on foot or by vehicle. Its open world design lets players freely roam Liberty City, consisting of three main areas.
Development was shared between DMA Design, based in Edinburgh, and Rockstar, based in New York City. Much of the development involved transforming popular elements from the Grand Theft Auto series into a fully 3D world for the first time. The game was delayed following the September 11 attacks to allow the team to change references and gameplay deemed inappropriate. It was released in October 2001 for the PlayStation 2, in May 2002 for Windows, and in October 2003 for the Xbox.
Grand Theft Auto III received critical acclaim, with particular praise directed at its concept and gameplay. However, it also generated controversy, with criticism directed at its depictions of violence and sex. It became the best-selling video game of 2001, and sold over 14.5 million copies by March 2008. Considered by many critics as one of the most significant titles of the sixth generation of video games and a landmark game in the open world concept, it is often listed among the greatest video games. It won several year-end accolades, including Game of the Year awards from several gaming publications. Since its release, it has received ports to many different gaming platforms. An enhanced version of the game was released on mobile platforms in 2011 for the game's tenth anniversary, and a further enhanced version for the twentieth anniversary was released in 2021. The game was followed by 2002's Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, while two prequels, Grand Theft Auto Advance and Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, were released in 2004 and 2005, respectively.
