The score encapsulates the innocence of a child and the grief of the parent who lost them. It is inspired by a child of a nomadic community, who was abducted, physically abused, and killed by eight men. The score is sung from her mother’s perspective and depicts a slice of time from the day of the incident; the day she went out looking for her horses and never came back. The score unfolds as we follow her walking through the mountains. The tone of the video continues to darken as we come closer to the impending danger and follow her as a predator would. The video ends with a last shot that is a cinematic parallel to the trauma the tragedy symbolizes.Bano reminds us of her tragedy, but interestingly, Bano also means beloved.
