My big brother and I had G. I. Joes back around 1966. At that point (as a 10 year old), I thought G. I. Joe was already well-armed and dangerous. He came with a uniform, boots, a plastic weapon and grenade (but no underwear), and I saw that as enough!! So I was afraid when he also started having a 'kung-fu' grip, but then I later realized that G. I. Joe had no girlfriend, so I put two-and-two together and figured that one out...
