If you've seen my tumblr blog then you probably know that I like to gush over royal babies, royal weddings, official royal portraits and all that. I was tagged by OnciePunzie (who created this lovely idea for a tag) and I thought, well, if I don't have enough time to create my own original content, I'm doing this tag :D And it still took about 2 hrs to put together, haha! Escaping Wonderland ♚ Chapter 5 (MEP part) LadySaraK 2016-08-31 | Hey everyone! This is my part for Oncie Punzie's upcoming MEP, which is based on her beautiful fanfic "Escaping Wonderland". It also doubles as a birthday MEP :D So HAPPY BIRTHDAY VI! It's still a week away but that's not gonna stop me from saying it, haha XDYou're a wonderful person and an incredibly amazing friend! ♥ I hope I did your story justice.. well, I tried :DI highly recommend you check out "Escaping Wonderland" right here:fanfiction.net/s/11767495/1/Escaping-WonderlandYou won't regret it ;)-------------------------About the video:Basically the MEP is split up in a way so that each part represents a chapter of the story, so my part (part 5) is about chapter 5.Without going into details (I don't want to spoil it for you :D), the chapter is about the Queen of Hearts (aka Mother Gothel), and in this chapter we see a flashback as she remembers a very pivotal moment in Wonderland's history which she happened to witness.For me, this was probably my favorite chapter, even though it doesn't feature either of the protagonists (Once-ler & Rapunzel), but it was super intriguing XD I just can't wait to know more about what really happened :) It so happens that this particular chapter has the longest part in the MEP. WHY do I always end up picking the longest part? :D I had fun doing it though!One more note: This chapter features Gothel (or the queen) as a young girl, so I had to improvise since there is no younger version of Gothel in the movie. After discussing the matter with Vi, I finally settled on using Elsa and superimposing her face on Gothel's (as well as changing her eye color). Editing Tutorial || Animating Fan Art LadySaraK 2016-06-29 | Hey guys! Here's another tutorial!This one was requested by Oncie Punzie when I made the Moana fan art MEP part, so I decided to give it a go and I hope that some of you find it useful :)NOTES:- This particular moana art already had a transparent background, so I didn't really need to do the first step, but I still put this step in the tutorial because most fan art sketches do have a background.- If you want you can remove the background using the masking tool in Sony Vegas, but that's a bit tedious for me.- As for masking in photoshop, you can use the Magnetic Lasso Tool, it's pretty much the same as the masking tool in Vegas, except that it automatically clings to the edges as you guide it with the cursor. You'll find loads of tutorials for the lasso tool on YouTube, which is why I didn't include it.- The tool I used to erase the hand from her forehead is the Clone Stamp Tool and the Brush tool. You'll find lots of tutorials on those as well, and it's pretty simple once you get the hang of it :)- When you're moving the arm (or whatever it is you're trying to animate) make sure that it doesn't look weird or out of place while it moves, and if it does, you can always add more keyframes along the length of the clip to adjust its movement. This didn't happen here, but it might happen with another picture/fan art.- Use the largest version of the picture available (which is the original, straight from the artist's page*), the bigger the size of the image, the better it will look in your video.If you have any questions, fire away in the comments below :DOh! By the way, this is the MEP part I'm referring to...where you'll notice that the part I just explained lasts for less than a second XD I still think it was worth it though :)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3KzPjkLrpfY*One more thing! I thought I'd say this since we're on the subject of fan art. I personally think it's really important to reference the people who did the art you're using, because when you see a picture in a video, you can't use Google Images to search for the source unless you take a screenshot (and that might not even work), but YOU can do that when you're searching for fan art. So even if you found it on Google, you can still use Google's image search to find the source (on Deviantart, Tumblr or even Twitter).. OR you can go straight to Deviantart and tumblr and search for what you want (rather than Google). If you absolutely can't find the source, then at least put the link of the page where you found it so that whoever wants to find the source can search for it themselves. Editing Tutorial || The Motion Blur Problem LadySaraK 2016-06-28 | Two words: Disable Resample.Sooo... This is my first editing tutorial :D Believe it or not I made this over a year ago and never got around to uploading it until now, because I didn't really know if it would be useful. For all I knew, this tip could be something that everyone else just knew, right? :DAnyway, please let me know what you think. Did you know about this? Is this tutorial clear enough? Is it too fast?So about this tutorial:I didn't know about this when I started editing, and I first started using the "disable resample" option when I wanted to change the speed of the clip (because otherwise it would turn out completely black).I noticed that some people recommended using this setting when masking with Sony Vegas, but I realized it's not just useful for masking. If fixes the motion blur thing that's been driving me nuts for AGES. And I've noticed it in several videos, so I thought maybe I wasn't the only one who didn't know about this!IMPORTANT TIP: If you want you can apply it to all your clips at once, just use CTRL + A to select all clips, deselect any audio clips and then right click and disable resample :)----------------------------------Warning: Technical gibberish ahead XDSo what is this setting, anyway?- Well, every video is rendered at a certain rate (fps or frames per second), and the original footage has it's own "frame rate", so this can cause the motion blur effect to appear.- For example, say the original clip has 4 frames per second (that's ridiculously low, but it's just an example :P), and your render settings say the video will have 3 frames per second. What does Vegas do?It can omit one of the 4 frames OR it can "blur" every two frames together; like using frame 1 and 2 to create the new frame 1, then frame 2 and 3 to create the second frame and finally frame 3 and 4 to create the last one! Although this means that you probably won't miss anything, because there's still a trace of the 4 frames in the new three, you'll get this blur effect.Disable Resample simply disables it (and instead maybe it omits a frame....well, depending on how it's programmed).END of technical rant XD-------------------------------------------Well, I hope you enjoy this and benefit from it!Let me know what you think please :)There's another one coming up, maybe today or tomorrow, so see you later! :D

Changing my username! LadySaraK 2016-03-09 | First things first: Don't panic! It's me guys, engsarak (aka Sara).Okay...This has been a long time coming people, because let's face it, my previous username was, errr, unpronounceable, to say the least :DWhen I made this channel, about 7 years ago, I just wanted to subscribe to some channels (that had nothing to do with editing videos), so I made an account, and didn't think twice about choosing a fancy or memorable username. Of course, I didn't even know I would be editing non/Disney videos here (I didn't even know an editing community existed), and when I did, every time I gained a subscriber I'd feel too scared to change my name... it was like this:100 subs: I can't change it, they won't recognize me!500 subs: It's too late now. I've gone too far.1000 subs: WHAT THE....? There's no turning back now.But then lately, I started noticing how other editors changed their usernames, and some of them had even more than 1K subs, and apparently their subscribers are taking it rather well so far :DSooo I've finally decided to take that step, I've been dreading it for so long, but I felt it was about time.You see, my previous name was a mixture of abbreviations (or acronyms) with my name stuck in the middle... didn't make sense to anyone but me. So here's something that might be easier for you to remember :)------------------------------About the new name! First of all, I really really REALLY hope you guys will like it, or at least find it easier than my last one ;)Half of my old username is still there, so hopefully you'll recognize me :D I also kept the red "S" in the watermark :)So, why THIS name? Well, to be completely honest, I....was watching Miraculous Ladybug and *cough*...and it just hit me XD It's silly, I know, but I also love period drama and Downton Abbey so it sounded nice to me. I wanted to keep part of the old username and this seemed like the perfect fit.I quickly designed a new watermark, and when I was satisfied with the design, I went ahead with the change! Well, first of all, this is one of my absolute favorite scores, this particular 2 minute instrumental... I LOVE IT.Back when I did the music tag, I couldn't add all my favorite scores (not songs, just instrumental stuff), so I decided to make a playlist, but THEN I decided to do something even better: make a video with each of my favorites (or as much as I can manage) :) And I've been meaning to use this one for ages, and here we are! :DThis may be the first of many, if you guys dig the idea.So this is how I always pictured this incredible piece, it starts off calm and a bit sad, like the calm after the storm, and then it picks up and turns into a happy, joyous tune, which I always imagined as the "happy ending" :D What do you think? Well, I think the person who uploaded it on their channel thought it was just okay to 'share' it (as they put it) because they liked it, they didn't actually mean to steal it I guess. You know, kind of like how some people google images or fan art and post them on tumblr without crediting the original artist? These ones are tricky. These are specifically the ones I just couldn't choose. How do I pick a song to describe myself without sounding like a snob or someone so full of herself? UGHHI'm not, please, I'm not, I just picked two songs OMG.1st song: I really like this one, this delicate, happy tune. And indeed my head was full of songs when I was doing this tag. And I'm often distracted when I think of ideas for my videos, but maybe not poetry, nope.2nd song: This one's fun. BUT, it is really close to what I do when I'm not goofing around on YouTube and fangirling over Disney vids :D I'm a nerd. It's really hard to find nerd songs. Forget I said anything. Soooo moving on :)*Makes me Happy:1st song: Too obvious, right? But this one does the trick for me. Instant mood lifter. Admit it, you feel like dancing too.2nd song: Literally ANYTHING Jazz (or from that era in general). This type of music makes me happy. Elsa has ice powers, and Hiccup has a pet dragon.In the intro, you see Hiccup and Toothless follow the northern lights to Arendelle, where Elsa sneaks out with Hiccup and he shows her Toothless. When Hans proposes to Elsa, she flees. She builds an ice castle and hides away in the mountains. Soon her parents discover that she's no where to be found, and Hans sets off to find her.Hiccup is alive!! He doesn't quite remember what happened 10 years ago, but he and Toothless come across Elsa's castle, just when Hans and his men arrive. As Elsa fights off the guards, Hiccup comes in and stops her, and when she turns to look at him, his memories come flooding back...I think I'll leave it at that.You decide what happens to Hans, was he the one who tried to kill Elsa by shooting at the Chandelier? Was he just a good guy at the wrong time and place who didn't win Elsa's heart and goes back to where he came from, maybe finds love elsewhere? It's up to you.To be frank I didn't have the energy to edit an ending for the guy.But I'm more inclined to think he tried to kill her, afraid that with Hiccup back in the picture, he would lose his chance of marrying into the throne.Actually this time there's a suggested thumbnail that's 10 times better than the custom one, but it's kind of spoilery?! AND to top it all After Effects crashed and I had to reinstall it.But in the end, I thought the chorus fitted the "manip-less scenes" :DI picked Merricup for this part because they're the kind of people who climb mountains and cross oceans :) I also like this ship, it's popular, but I can see why. They make a pretty great team! There's no complicated storyline here, I'm basically following the song, pretty self-explanatory.-------------------------------------And guys, the fact that I'm putting Hiccup in crossover videos (which will happen again XD) does not diminish my love for Hiccstrid (aka Hiccup and Astrid's relationship). But since I don't like misleading thumbnails that give a false impression that the video is more sophisticated than it really is, I will always try to make them reflect the actual content (i.e. they contain an actual snapshot or manip from the video... etc).The reason that led me to finally enable custom thumbnails is my MEP, whose three suggested thumbnails just didn't represent the MEP at allll (they were three snapshots from three different parts, one of them mine, but it didn't look like a group project). The way I see it, this song basically goes with couples, BUT if you think one of the parts has lyrics that can fit a family relationship or whatever, I might bend the rules :D3- Not first come first serve.Mainly because I promised some of my YT friends they'd get parts, so I'll be keeping that in mind. I probably won't reply right away, I'll let it simmer first and make sure there's enough time for everyone to see it. It's been a while since I've heard a song that instantly reminded me of a movie, so let's just say; inspiration hit me hard on this one, at least I hope so, you be the judge of that ;) I think it fits Pocahontas literally and metaphorically, and I also fell in love with this cover (all info at the end of the video), and every time I heard it all I could picture in my mind was Pocahontas & John Smith. So this happened!I've been trying to finish some crossover ideas I had, because I know that once summer is over I probably won't have that much time for them, but most of them still need lots & lots of work. Then I started seeing some awesome, classic non/disney vids (not MEP parts or mashups, just one movie), particularly the ones DannyPhantomSG1 has been uploading lately (like the Mulan vid, the Hercules vid, and also Scurvied's Anastasia vid) and I think that encouraged me to put my long-term projects on hold and get this idea out of my head and just push myself to make a long, one-fandom video :D Well, to me, it was worth it :) I got to relive the magic of this movie ^^Anyway, I hope you enjoy this video and let me know what you think! I don't know how to fix this (and neither Google nor CreativeCow have been much help in this area in case you're wondering) so if you know please share your wisdom with me, I'd REAALLY appreciate that :DI hope that doesn't spoil the video for you, but I think it actually looks okay here because of the beat of the song, so you could say I'm using the glitch to my advantage (Vanellope-style) XD

MEP Collection || DotM LadySaraK 2015-03-12 | Please Read!! :DYou can totally ignore this MEP dump... Let me explain why this is here...So I'm supposed to be doing the final and 12th part of the upcoming DotM MEP (with "Home")... I did it long ago and forgot about it, here's why:I did two versions (both in this video) and I just couldn't make up my mind and pick one, so I'm letting you guys tell me what to do, I know they're just 8 SECONDS but this is why it's so difficult.Version 1: I feel like this would be a more appropriate ending to the MEP, but it barely has any significant scenes (and no "Oh" there too), also this one focuses more on Tip and her mom, so it fits the theme (kind of). I feel like this version is simple, but more appropriate.Version 2: I felt like I was just throwing in more scenes for the heck of it, so even though the scenes at the end look cute, they don't exactly match the music (I think?)So what do you guys think?? 'Cause I'm just confused... I'm leaning towards v1 thoughAs for the other MEP part, this was a DotM MEP that got cancelled. It was supposed to be before the latest auditions, so it's about, errrr, 6 months old? Something like that.But I did it, and it's there on my computer, so I decided to stretch this video by adding it. XDSomehow I always plan to write a really long description and then when the video starts uploading I go blank and I just don't know what to write here.Ok, I'll try explaining what's happening in the vid, but I really hope you get the storyline (if you can call it that) before you read, so please watch before you go any further.....Here goes nothing (I'll make this quick, I don't know why but I will):So Tadashi picks up M.K. and drives recklessly to SFIT where she goes to grab something from the lab while he waits outside. A fire starts and he goes in to rescue her...
