This peaceful village is home to descendants of Thai Chinese, many of whom trace their roots back to Hainan and have lived here for over two centuries. We took the ferry from Koh Samui to the mainland and headed straight to Koh Raet to escape the crowds and enjoy island life at its most relaxed.
