I thought I'd get nostalgic and share an *old* arrangement I made.I made this for a video game podcast back in 2008 (I was 14 at the time!) that was known as NooBTooB, hosted by Tobin Coziahr (tobin00) and Yuzo Watanabe (yuzow).For about the first two years of the show, it used a different intro. It was a catchy, but simple tune done by their audio guy, Range Strunk. At some point, someone called into their show with a live performance of their intro theme, and it inspired me to make my own arrangement. Mine was simply an "orchestral" sounding version of their existing one.I eventually sent them mine (the one in this video), and it was played on episode 97 (their infamous "Metal Gear Solid 4" episode). I suppose it was well-received, because it ended up playing until the conclusion of the weekly episodes in 231, and even in the few reunion episodes!Anyway, the reason I'm sharing it now is because I don't believe it's ever been available in its entirety. It was always cut short to make way for their regular intro (because Range edited all the audio) and I thought it'd be cool if I finally shared the rest of this intro for those who never got to hear it.This is probably the only arrangement of mine that has aged well, as I'd never dare upload anything else from that time, and I'm very thankful to Tobin and Yuzo for featuring it for more than half the show!YOW!

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker music - Grandmas Theme Orchestrated Pianist Tanooki 2020-08-28 | I'm in the midst of working on a few other remakes, but this one just suddenly came to mind, and I got more and more excited about working on it, so I couldn't help myself.Unlike other arrangements I've made, this one is a bit different from the game. The reason for this is because this was actually performed by composer Koji Kondo (the original composer of this particular track) at the Zelda 25th Anniversary concerts as an encore performance many years ago. Kondo added a few more embellishments to "expand" on the original, and I really liked what he did with it. I thought it would be neat if I could "orchestrate" the way he embellished on it while trying to retain aspects of the original, and so this was the result!Might be a bit superfluous as I'd mentioned it before, but this tune was composed by Koji Kondo!
Super Mario Land music - Easton Kingdom Remade Pianist Tanooki 2020-07-30 | This is music from Super Mario Land. I actually made this about four years ago, really only months after I'd started putting up content on this channel. I just rediscovered the old project file, and realized I'd never shared this one anywhere. So, I made a few balancing changes to improve the percussion sounds, and reduced a lot of the pitch sliding going on with the main clarinet line, as it was a bit excessive. Overall, I liked what I had going with it back in 2016 with delaying the melody intro by introducing the background portion of it, and so I didn't wanna change too much of it.The original tune was composed by Hirokazu Tanaka.
