Hill I Will Die On As A Cricut Crafter Crafty Housewives 2026-02-17 | Every day I see people on social media telling people to not use Cricut brand materials. They’re too expensive. They don’t work. They don’t last. They’re BAD BAD BAD!This is not my experience. I have signs that stay outside in all seasons using Cricut vinyl and they are still holding up after years. I have shirts I made using Cricut Iron-on that have lasted over 30 washes with no issues. I love my EasyPress and my Cricut brand weeding tools. I know my experiences are not other people’s experiences. And if you had a bad experience I’m not going to tell you you’re wrong. I just want people to not feel bad for the materials they have in their craft room.If you have Cricut materials sitting on your shelf, use them! You don’t have to go buy something new because someone said what you have is wrong. We’re all learning, including brands and they change things all the time. And, as proof that I am not bias - I have used lots of other brands and I like some and dislike others.If you’ve been here for a minute you know how much I hate Cricut Joy vinyl. I keep hoping they’re going to change it but unless they want to send me it to test for free I’m probably never buying more. Cricut + Cardstock Tip Crafty Housewives 2026-02-14 | Cricut + Cardstock tip - roll the mat off the cardstock don’t try to pull the cardstock off the mat. Materials, especially papers will curl if pulled off the adhesive mat. Gently rolling the mat away from the material prevents curling, look at how nice and flat the cut pieces are. The spatula works great for some materials but I don’t love it for cardstock.

As you learned in my last tutorial, I'm all about taking something that is a good base and turning it into something new. MOD PODGE TIPS! #smallbusiness #craft Crafty Housewives 2026-02-10 | Did you know that Mod Podge has a long cure time to be fully sealed? I am using the Matte Mod Podge on this project, and it says to allow 30 minutes to dry between coats, and the Cure time is FOUR WEEKS!Before the 4 weeks, be very careful to not have other items touch the surface. Don't pack your project away and stack something else on top of it. They will stick together!To eliminate tackiness, they recommend you apply a clear acrylic sealer over the CURED Mod Podge. So that is after those 4 weeks. Don't apply it before then.Did you know this? Have you battled tacky Mod Podge before?
