The weather was good, so I didn't set up my tarp. I did wake up at night by a bit of rain falling onto my face, but nothing serious.Sleeping Under the Tarp - Beach Camp and Campfire CookingStorm2024-10-20 | A quick overnight camping trip on the beach. Not my best video, but I'm enjoying the warm temperatures before I go into the mountains again.Wild Camp on the Beach - Bushcraft CookingStorm2024-10-14 | Found this beach on Google Maps and just had to try it out. Getting there wasn't easy. 10km on an unmaintained trail, wet feet stumping through marshes. To make things worse I had to hike 2 hours in the dark, then set up camp and hike another 2 km off-trail the next morning to get to the beach. I ended up cooking some beef and broccoli stir fry, and bolognese for dinner. A lot of wind, so sand get everywhere - sleeping bag, food, tea,... Nevertheless, I enjoyed it (for the most part).Solo Wild Camp in Rain & Bushcraft Cooking Meat StewStorm2024-10-07 | Another wild camping ASMR video with my tarp in the rain. This time I'm also cooking up a Belgian meat stew using a bushcraft tripod and a pot hanger made from a bicycle cable. Made a quick visit to the wrecked British bomber, which made some nice audio. The first day was seriously miserable. I chose the wrong shoes for this trip and my feet got soaked; not fun when it's 1°C. Anyway, I managed to get a fire going the next day and proceeded to cook up the best meal I've had in a long time. Made it all worth it.
In the next video I'll be camping on the beach and cooking stir fry beef and broccoli and spaghetti bolognese.Sunny Tarp Camping Trip in The MountainsStorm2024-09-27 | Despite the sun, it's cold. I'm in Sarek National Park and decided to set up camp next to a waterfall and a huge lake.Solo Tarp Camp in the Wetlands (Heavy Rain and Wind)Storm2024-09-23 | I decided to set up camp in the wetlands during a rainstorm that lasted for 2 days. What could possibly go wrong?
At the end of the day I was soaking wet; water got through both my rain jacket and pants. I had to lower the tarp in the middle of the night because rain was blowing onto my face. The next day I had to wade through 10 cm of water to get back on the hiking trail. Anyway, I'm just happy I didn't wake up in the middle of the night to water rising into my camp, as I was camping close to the water edge. I actually wanted to shoot a longer video but water got inside my camera lens and everything started to fog up, so I had to cut it short.
Also, at some point you can see me sitting on a sleeping bag. That's not my sleeping bag. I found it while scavenging for wood. Someone forgot it... RIP.Solo Backpacking in the Mountains of SarekStorm2024-09-19 | A quick solo backpacking trip in Sarek National Park, Northern Sweden. Lots of birds and reindeer. The weather was nice but quite a lot of wind and low temperatures. And since my inflatable sleeping pad broke down, I had to make due with my CCF sleeping pad, which doesn't insulate much, so the nights were rather cold. Also used hiking poles for the first time on this trip and they were a big help.
Still made tons of filming & color grading mistakes, but I'm learning with every video.4 Days Alone in The Northern MountainsStorm2024-09-08 | Backpacking and packrafting for 4 days alone in the mountains of Northern Sweden, with a view on Sarek National Park.2 Days Backpacking in the Dark Forest of MuddusStorm2024-08-29 | Late August I went into the dark old growth forest of Muddus (Sweden) for a 2-day off-trail backpacking adventure. Lots of rain and mosquitoes. For dinner I'm having chili, which I dehydrated at home, so I just needed to add water. Very convenient.Camping Adventure with the Packraft in NorwayStorm2024-08-14 | A quick overnight camping trip at a huge lake with many waterfalls.Solo Tarp Camping - Rain and CampfireStorm2024-08-07 | It was a gloomy day in Saltfjellet-Svartisen National Park, Norway.
