Arthur J Fischman
Alter Mann by Children Medieval Band

Here are the lyrics a partnership between myself, Art Fischman, and Rebecca Birmingham Montgomery.
The lunatic inside my brain is very hard to know
I try to talk to him assuming that he gives a shit
I often try to seek what motivates his will
Hoping that one day I will get through
And if he listens we can be a better person
Assuming that of course I know what’s best for him
I make suggestions from a place of higher learning
I plant woke feelings, replacing all his craven thoughts
Try and fail
Change does not come easy
Try and fail
No matter how I try
Try and fail
I never get the message
Try and fail
Intensions overruled
I get tired hearing the happy people say
Tomorrow will be better than today
You don’t know me or what’s in my mind
I think about bad things all the time
I’m a journey man of strife
That’s how I live my life
Can’t fight the pain in me
Reeling in my brain so deep
I’m not to blame
Just a little insane
Responsibility
Not the best of my ability
I know what’s right, I read about it in all the books
Often it’s not very hard to do at all
I know that I would have more friends if I would do the right thing
And that this thing would make me happy
Then something happens that I can’t really explain
Crouched in the darkness hidden is my fear and pain
Prodding and cajoling me to turn my back on right
Persistent banter hardly ceasing day or night
I’m baring my soul
I’m out of control
I’m thrown down a well
In my own special hell

I had just started messing with my digital audio workstation (DAW) when I wrote this tune shortly after the thaw. Today I listened to it when it popped up in my mix. It sounded to me like I had a blanket over the speakers. So being so much better at this stuff today, I decided to take another shot at mixing it.
Drums on this track are from @GuitarMapsDrumTracks The track that I used is

Drums are from @kiro__tv specifically the track Trip hop drums loop - 80 BPM youtube.com/watch?v=eK7iJGmDLXs
I wrote the lyrics which are as follows.
I’m gonna drive around and look for you
I’m gonna find you and park the car
I’m gonna express my deep frustration
With my current situation
Explain it in terms you can understand
Paint you a picture, something freehand
About what you can do for me
About what you should do for me
A masterpiece without even tryin’
Gonna let my mind roam free
Let my imagination speak for me
Gonna feed on what I need
No need to intercede
Got some weed and motivation
Let go my deep frustration
Gonna know just what I need
Time best unspoken
Time running smooth never
Time sooner than later
Time not enough for the haters
Time take whatever you need
Time
It’s not about hate, it’s who needs it more
So give it to me, should not have to explain
I wear it better than you, looks better on me
I’ll just say it was a gift of magnanimous expression
Because it used to symbolize some colonial repression
But those days are over, a thing of the past
Now that freedom rings, this time it’s gonna last
Gonna finally get what I deserve
Gonna take a sharp turn off the interstate
Gonna share my load on the service road
Gonna keep it nice and legal
Even use my directional signals
Signal my intensions, got nothing to hide
Not looking for love, I’m gonna give you a ride
You’re gonna do the right thing
Cause you owe it to me
#neosuburban
Drums are from Donnie Robertson. Lyrics are written with help from Rebecca Birmingham Montgomery and go as follows.
You may be concerned but it’s not my problem
You want to make me understand but it’s not my problem
You may feel like it’s your responsibility
But frankly it’s not my problem
I used to care it’s true
But now I realize there’s nothing to do
I pass the torch
I give it up
who
might give a (fuck)
I let it go
release my grip
Now I realize that it’s all about me
My responsibility for what little joy in my life yet to be
I can no longer defend your revolutionary agenda
My calendar is no longer free
You may be concerned but it’s not my problem
You want to make me understand but it’s not my problem
You may feel like it’s your responsibility
But frankly it’s not my problem
Now I realize that it’s all about me
My responsibility for what joy in my life yet to be
I can’t defend
Seditious acts
Time
No longer free
Please let it go
Release your grip
I don't want to hear, nothin' from you
Don't care to understand your point of view
What if I don’t, and what if I do
America is falling, koo koo kachoo
Is there a way we can come together
Even though we're not birds of a feather
I've lost all patience, squandered too much time
I'll leave all the worries of the world behind
On someone else's dime, politics and crimes
Read the fine lines of what I am saying?
Its not my problem and I'm not playing
Cut me some slack is all I’m saying
You may be concerned but it’s not my problem
You want to make them understand, but it’s not my problem
You may feel like it’s your responsibility
But frankly it’s not my problem
We’ve got nothing in common, no hard feelings
Don't beg my pardon, I couldn’t care less
You are the problem an avalanche of entitlement
Coming down the mountain to land on my head
Now I realize that it’s all about me
My responsibility for what little joy in my life yet to be
I can no longer defend your revolutionary agenda
My calendar is no longer free

Lyrics are by Rebecca Birmingham Montgomery and are as follows.
Try to never change
Don’t spare the change
Stay just like you are
Never feel obligated to change
Resist all change
Fear the need to change
Let it be the same
Resist the urge to change
I want to hold on to this moment forever
No social pressure to leave it all behind
The way your eyes look at me as we dance together
Life stands still and our love is forever
So many years have rolled by
Chasing myths of the beautiful life
Grocery lists and flying kites
Getting lit, staying up all night
Worried about things that seem silly now
I don’t want to change, I don’t want to lose you
Sometimes you don’t share my point of view
Yet we still find the magic of me and you
Time is our enemy
As each second passes by we are hurdling toward
Beautiful promises being realized
And then realizing the promises were a lie
I don’t believe in some future
Pulling me from this soft corner of now
I’m a version of me who still believes
that not becoming anything could be best somehow
The sun rises in the east and sets in the west
Nothing changes from the orbit that the Earth knows best
If she’s got it right then how come why don’t we
Accept the moments as they come, not fighting currents in the sea
I’ve had my day, change is a major distraction
I’m not important to the world, wasting time gives me no satisfaction
All I want to be is no one important at all
I’m not changing anything, but I'm living life honestly
I crave predictably
In an old frayed sweater
Covered with the stains of time
Breathing in the moments
#neosuburban
For drums I turned to @GuitarMapsDrumTracks as usual.
Here are the lyrics.
In the city's endless spin
Faces blur and names give in
We chase the highs, the lows, the same
Cause in the end it's all a game
Life’s illusions fraught with flavor
Marking time with tastes to savor
Regions claim their unique richness
Fortified and more delicious
In the land of milk and honey
Over time we hear the money
Flavor’s great but so is saving
We’ll travel far for what we’re craving
Maybe I was narrow minded
Steer my wallet and I’ll be guided
Open my eyes and let me see
A global goodness potpourri
So let's sip Chinese Coffee,
rich and bold
With a flavor that never
grows old
Paired with Lichtenstein
baked beans
And Vietnamese
Fine cheese
We savor discount goodness
Like some bargain hunting disease.
But amidst all of the flavors
A whisper is heard from the Colombian Coffee
Speaking with the utmost urgency
Leading a counter insurgency
It rallies French champagne
and Peruvian potatoes
It’s a culinary coup
To reclaim its throne of regal brew
But alas the revolution
is doomed from the start
In the age of substitution
Originality has lost its heart
The people shrug and they say,
"What's the difference anyway
As long as it's cheap and tasty
We can go our merry way”
We'll indulge in Icelandic mangos
sweet and divine
And Bhutanese marmalade
a flavor so sublime
And though the memories linger
of coffee's frothy past
We will toast to the future
with a taste that will surely last
So let's sip Chinese Coffee,
rich and bold
With a flavor that never
grows old
Paired with Lichtenstein
baked beans
And Vietnamese
Fine cheese
We savor discount goodness
Like some bargain hunting disease.

Drums are from @JimDooley, a very simple drum beat that I cut up in a couple of places to take advantage of a little fill inside. The track is here
youtube.com/watch?v=TTE-xOuZDyg&t=13s
The lyrics are as follows.
I’ve been told a thing or two about you
Gonna make me bleed, gonna make me need
Gonna loose control while you steal my soul
I don’t care what they say
Gonna dip my wick anyway
Not scared about what some people say
Piling the bodies in her wake
Tonight might be my lucky break
How can I feel so good about this mistake
Tenderize me, hammer me down
Slap me like a piece of chicken
She gets close to me and my pulse does quicken
Take me into your smothering arms
Love me with those vicious charms
I’ll give you all I’ve got to give
Yet still you’ll beg for more
Wrap me up with a bow
Leave me frozen in the snow
Give me hope then let it go
Who knew that love could feel so good
I’m stuck in the mud
She drains out my blood
She’s a pile driver
Uh huh
Lost in the woods
Stripped of my goods
She’s a pile driver
Uh huh
Not who she seems
Feeding on dreams
She’s a pile driver
Uh huh
Gets what she needs
Leaves you lost in the weeds
She’s a pile driver
Uh huh
I didn’t know how lost I was
I could not read the signs
I ignored the things that hurt me
My road was paved with mines
I lost my inner compass
I abandoned all my friends
I turned my back on family
I could not make amends
What used to matter don’t make much sense
My spirit guide can’t pay the rent
Can’t turn the page cause I sold the book
I haven’t got a cent
All I can see is straight ahead
The voices are talking which I ignore
Many try to save me
But I show them all the door
My heart feels tired, my head confused
I’m guilty of the crimes accused
The more I sleep the less I rest
Oh Lord I’ve been misused
I’m guilty of the things I desire
I freely walk into the fire
Everyone can see the danger but me
I’m singing to the choir
Everyone knows a thing or two about you
Gonna make me bleed, gonna make me need
Gonna loose control while you steal my soul
I don’t care what they say
Gonna dip my wick anyway
No interest in what some people say
Stepping round the bodies in her wake
Tonight will make my body ache
I feel so good about this mistake
Wrap me up, make it a show
Leave me fearing the powers below
Give me hope then let it go
Love don’t feel so good

Here's the lyrics by Rebecca with some stuff from me.
The older that I get
The less I seem to find
Chasing dreams I can't remember
Leaving hopes behind
I'm wasting time because
I’m chasing after time
While it slips away unseen
It’s never what it seems
The one thing that I hope,
That I’ll find before the end
Is some peace within
And a way to make amends
I’m learning to let go
Of the things I can’t control
Stepping through the unknown
Finding answers, still alone
In the quiet of the night
I think of all I might have missed
And wonder if the life I seek
Is something I’ve dismissed
Was there more to love
Than grabbing some free kiss
Was there more to living
Than losing all of this
In the end It all adds up
The total counts for more
Something means everything
But I wasn’t keeping score
Answers without questions
I’ve forgotten…
Everything I've known
Or thought that I knew
Lightening never in the same place
And the sky is blue
But lightning strikes a single spot
Again and again
The sky has many colors
Like the flags we must defend
The stress
Excess
Built up
Pressure
Intense
Blackmail
The feeling’s bad
Because it absolutely never ever goes away
Too Wound Up To Unwind
Too Wound Up To Unwind
Too Wound Up To Unwind
Too Wound Up To Unwind
Turn the hands back on the clock
We will make some time
What I thought was real,
Was just a fleeting dream
Every word I speak
Not a one unique
The thunder roars, a deafening sound
We haven’t got a chance
A mountain moves, a river bends
Life forces us to dance
Everything I know
is a weight that pulls me down
What do you see
I think that I might drown
Lost in the adventure
I blame it on the pain
Was it for a purpose
Or do I die in vain
#neosuburban
Lyrics are as follows.
Flying because I have to try
Searching for shadows in the sky
Chasing the truth just out of sight
No need to ask, I have the right
Flying
I’m in control
Target
My focus whole
Blindness
Training kicks in
Mindless
Programmed to win
What am I fighting for
What am I defending
The line between doubt and duty
keeps on bending
In the silence, in the noise
the answers fade away,
I keep searching for the light
Got to fight another day
Afterburning interception
Wrecking havoc on perception
Keep it simple, fly the mission
Ask forgiveness, not permission
Like a hallway in my dreams
Conscious mind is all askew
I want to talk about it
But there’s no one to talk to
And suddenly I’m all alone
Flying circles in the sky
Got no target acquisition
Motivation short supply
I become the target
No longer am aware
And the noise on my radio
Floating up into the air
Floating so free, high in the sky
Like a balloon drifting so high
There is no future, is no past
There is no slow there is no fast
We fly together all as one
Light as a shadow on the sun
Time stands still. Time moves away.
Nowhere to go. Nowhere to stay.
Calling for confirmation
That you are still on mission
Trying to get my signal
Through to you
Acknowledge my voice and transmission
You’re not allowed to go off mission
Your brothers need you now
You owe it to your country
Flying because I have to try
Searching for shadows in the sky
Chasing the truth just out of sight
No need to ask, I have the right

I normally write lyrics with Rebecca but she was busy with some real life stuff so I worked with Meta AI assistant on Instagram who I have named Lyra. She did a great job of listening to my suggestions and then listing complimentary suggestions that I used to mix and match content until I came up with what follows.
Another day now stands before me
More decisions I must make
Does this justify my existence
Is today my lucky break
Should I make time for this nonsense
Are there many to forsake
Did I ask too many questions
Count the bodies in my wake
There was a time
When I could laugh it off
Turn the other cheek
Turn my head and cough
Trusting in the process
Supported by the truth
Now the days are shorter
No longer in my prime
Losing motivation
Caring is a crime
Think that I’ll just walk away
Haven’t got the time
Save your self
Can’t succeed in life
Without a way to fail
Kill your dreams
Try to stay alive
And never play their games
Pretending to look for
Justification
Internet searching
Investigation
Leave it all behind
Evacuation
Checking out from
Civilization
(Finish section with guitar solos)
Another moment begs my presence
More consequences to create
Is this the source of my persistence
Is this my moment to escape
Participation in the chaos
Redemption for those yet still awake
Did I seek too many answers
Mend the hearts of those I break
Searching for paths to
Sanctification
Digging through dusty
Documentation
Breaking away
From desperation
Reneging on
my obligations

This is a long song because we had a lot to say. It's in a way a synopsis of my life. Franky it was intimidating so I didn't know where to start. Musically I was inspired by the heavy metal performance of Gojira at the Olympic opening so I took my trusty kit Telecaster and tuned it down to C standard to get that low, growling tone. I used that for the verses (musical part 2). For the bridges (musical part 3). I used my semi-hollow Ibanez Art Core guitar in a standard E tuning. For the choruses (musical part 1), I used my Casio Rock Organ sound with my Seagull acoustic guitar.
For drums, I think that I downloaded like thirty 90 BPM drum parts from a wide variety of contributors. When all was said and done, I was surprised to learn that the two drum parts that I used had both come from @GuitarMapsDrumTracks. One was five years old titled Hard Rock Drum Beat 90 BPM Bass Guitar Backing Drum Track 125 youtube.com/watch?v=uEvPneiVzOg The other was four years old titled Chill Groove Drum Track - 90 BPM - Drum Tracks For Bass Guitar, Instrumental Drum Beats 🥁 331 youtube.com/watch?v=w1ZTp-nAv6k
I struggled to get these beats to match up sonically, but I'm pretty happy with the result. The changeover occurs at 4:15.
The lyrics were written mostly by Rebecca who was given my first bars of the chorus as a seed for her work. Those lines are, "I want to put it all in perspective. I want to sum it all up. I want to make sense of it all, but I can’t, so I just keep going."
I want to put it all in perspective
I want to sum it all up
I want to make sense of it all
But I can’t, so I just keep going
Want to believe in the future
Don’t want to be stuck in the past
I want to think that it all somehow matters
But I don’t, so l just keep going
What will the computers do
When there is no one left to talk to
No reason to even speak
Because it’s all been said before
Nothing left to do
Because it’s all been done before
We might as well all go home
But me I’ll just keep going
What to say
about kids today
Never gone to college
Never bought a home
Never found life
Never had a spouse
Don’t have a clue
So you play games in your room
Do I still own that Cadillac?
No, but I remember
Driving down to the Keys
In the nineteen seventies
America was Disneyland
And we enjoyed the ride
It was a glorious time
And we had a lot of time
And now the world is in chaos
Just the same but different
Now I’m streaming waves
Getting lost at raves
Was a slave of bad decisions
brainwashed to believe your opinions
I wanted to be able to speak
without being ridiculed and dismissed.
I’m used to living
With ever changing scenery
I’m rolling with the times
Adapting to the changing climes
Turning up the heat
I don’t feel a thing
Just launch another quest
In a bulletproof vest
And things that used to bug me
Don’t phase me much at all
I’m rolling with the punches
As I watch the kingdoms fall
And I’m good with it, all of it
It doesn’t matter much to me
I am in a good place
With all that uncertainty
Just a bunch of emojis
And helpful QR Codes
Abbreviate to communicate
But not to understand
Just like that we need to a million to retire
Keeps us working until we die
Can’t count on nothing but pain
And we can’t get back the time
Another day of target practice
And celebrity mass shooters
Mass extinction natural disasters
Who will protect us from the looters
I used to go to hear live music
Passing a joint between strangers
Leave my phone on all the time
And answer right away
My car was a right of passage
Now it’s unobtainable
With the cost of insurance
And electric cars
Most people don’t need them anyway
We can work from home everyday
But we can’t discuss things anymore
Because everyone’s right and keeping score
I predict that the future
Will be nothing like the past
Only everything that changes
Changes nothing in me
I don’t recognize the face
Staring at me in the mirror
I’ve been around too long
I know the end is getting nearer
Is this what it means to be successful
Of student loans instead of homes
Get a job so the banks can have your cash
Cashing in on your dreams
I want to put it all in perspective
I want to sum it all up
I want to make sense of it all
But I can’t, so I just keep going

Moby sang about how we're all made of star dust, but that leaves out the soul. That's where this song picks up. Lyrics written with Rebecca Birmingham Montgomery.
I think
I feel
I am
I start
I End
Life Span
Breathe In
Breathe out
Have time
Your Touch
Feels Like
Soul Dust
Last night I was in your dream
We were in a shadow stream
Dancing on celestial ground
No gravity could hold us down
Colored lights streaked cross the sky
Never asked the reason why
Sharing an ethereal kiss
Feeling happy, touching bliss
Why am I
Who am I
Why am I
Who am I
Why am I
Who am I
Why am I
Who am I
The sun shines brighter
The Darkness seems lighter
When you are near
Everything is so clear
Hand in hand
we walk through the mist
Stardust in starlight.
Big bang from a kiss
Soul junk
Star dust
Your touch
Our lust
Like lovers lost inside a dream
Our thoughts inside celestial streams
Sunbeams dance with cosmic dust
Our thoughts surreal and soon combust
We are so different than the rest
Hopes and thoughts and what is best
Feel what is true, know what is there
Yet can’t be measured or be fair
Hear me
Know me
In time
Soul dust
Heart beat
Space time
Breathe In
Breathe out
Add time
Your Touch
Feels Like
Soul Dust
Like birthday candles on a cake
Only here for a short time
We light up for a little while
We talk and laugh and often smile
We part the darkness with our will
We mark the passage of our time
We set the goals and grade our drive
That’s how we know we are alive

It was overcast this year as it was in Carbondale, but just like that time, we go lucky enough for the clouds to break just enough to see it.
Music by Neosuburban a song that we haven't even named yet. Will update this page when we do.

Lyrically it's equating a relationship to fast food, delicious but unhealthy. Here are the lyrics.
Hey, where you think you're goin'?
You're like a tidal wave in my ocean
Mass destruction is your only function
Unnatural disaster in slow motion
Your life is like a frozen
Pizza, thin crust with no taste
Not enough ingredients
your life is a total waste
You’re just a DiGiorno inferno
Like some hot pocket trapped inside my head
Like a bison with feathers
Cheese queso may be delicious but that does not make it nutritious
The world does not owe you shit
You need to get over it
Just turn around and find the door
Top of the ninth and you know the score
Your life is like a frozen pizza, thin crust with no taste
Not enough ingredients, your life is such a waste
You’re just a DiGiorno inferno
Like some hot pocket trapped inside my head
Like a bison with feathers
Cheese queso may be delicious but that does not make it nutritious

Lyrics from Rebecca. Drums from Donnie Robertson. Everything is played on the following: electric guitar is my Yamaha RGX A2, acoustic guitar is from Seagull, bass is my Steinberger Maple 5-string, piano and organ is on my Casio WK-1300, and the harmonica, from my cheap Chinese set, is an SX Blues in the key of A.
Caught up in the static
Broken toys in my attic
There’s a glitch in the system
Fucking up my biorhythm
There’s a bitch in my computer
She’s like a data Roto-Rooter
With a twisted melody
Got the ability to rewrite my code
She’s gonna flip my switch
I don’t know how to stop the bitch
From dancing with the ghost in my machine
I can see her through the cracks in my screen
Is that her voice or the echoes in my head
All of this just fills me with dread
Maybe I’d be
better off dead
Caught up in the static
I don’t mean to be dramatic
But when looking for the truth
It’s like a needle in a haystack
All of this was a common mistake
Just a simple twist of fate
Information can’t be gleaned from broken down machines
Programs have been altered. Truth as been slaughtered
How can I compete
When there’s nobody left to meet
I’m living inside a glitch
I’m in love with a Catfish
All I hear is static
Every day I become more erratic
Time is folding on me
Like some caterpillar origami
(01:36)
I’m living in a glitch
Programmed by some bitch
I’m surrounded by your static
I’m becoming more erratic
The walls keep closing In
It all starts to begin
To transform me into something less a man
Garbage in makes garbage out
Please use the right container
Do what’s right and put me on the curb
Virtual reality is far beyond my grasp
Microchips inside my brain, you’ve gone too far
I want to go back in time before the Internet
Stop listening to me because
I’m talking to myself – YEAH

I used an animation of the original painting. It can be found here. youtube.com/watch?v=MQmiL2cP2Gg
For the artwork in the video I used this, The 100 Best Paintings by Painters posted in 2017 | LearnFromMasters (HD) youtube.com/watch?v=A__rjrebeXc&t=348s
The main guitar that I'm using on this is of all things a six-string, short-scale cigar box guitar that is tuned to an F# chord. I'm using my newly repaired Casio synthesizer for piano, celeste and organ tones and using my Jimmy Wallace resto mod guitar for the lead at the end.
The lyrics are mostly from Rebecca and they are below.
The god of the winds, Zephyr, and the breeze Aura are in tight embrace
Gently driving Venus towards the shore with their breath
She is standing naked on a golden shining shell.
My love life
Is all out of whack
Like a long lost poem
From Jack Kerouac
Like a complicated song
From Burt Bacharach
Like the B52s
Singing Love Shack
I'm not trying to make things
Harder than they need to be
But all that I really want
Is just for you to love me
Where are you hiding the key
To open your heart?
How long can I stay away
Before you tear us apart
Wherever she turns
Those amorous eyes
The air becomes serene
I remember the day
That I saw you on the beach
Like the birth of Venus
You were out of my reach
I could not get you
Off my mind
Such a vision of beauty, I knew right away
That you must be mine
We would be together
For the rest of my life
I need to see you
I long to hold you
Hold you forever
Never let go
Never let go
First there was nothing
Then there was something
Where did it come from
Love is the question
Love is the answer
I thought that I found love
Can’t figure you out
The more I think of you
The more I am in doubt
I pray for love
But it’s all in vain
Life without you
Is perpetual pain
Is it my fault
I’ll never confess
My love life
Is a chaotic mess
I thought that I’d found love
But it was only a song
I finally decided
Love is just a con
She was seated upon the grass
having woven a garland
out of as many flowers
as nature had ever created
I can’t trust the lyrics
Or believe in every line
My heart may be broken
With nothing but time
Time to decide
All about my own love life
It may be out of whack
I need to start writing
To get back on the beat
Get back on my feet
Someday I will find
A love that is true
Until then I'll keep singing
The blues about you
The blues about you
I ponder what’s the meaning
Is this even real
I hear the words your saying
It does not feel real
Nothing feels real
