SpartanHopliteA single 64-man Operations bomber gunner game on PC. Three rounds of defense on Fao Fortress totaling 202 kills.
Given that this video has been seeing a lot of traffic lately, I thought I'd address some common questions I am seeing on not only this video, but on threads like the Kotaku article that probably brought you here.
Many people are questioning how I can see the enemies on the ground. You have to understand that source video quality is compressed once uploaded to YouTube. As a result, enemies in trenches or behind cover might not seem as obvious to the viewer. In addition, I am running a 144hz monitor paired with a GTX 1070 and Directx12 enabled. I play at ultra graphics and with all shaders enabled. I usually run the game at approximately 100 fps at all times and with an increased brightness on my monitor. These, combined with the 3D-spotting mechanic in BF1, allow me to easily track and shoot at targets with the bomber gunner position.
I have been coordinating with friends in aerial vehicles since the Bad Company 2 days. My same friend in this video always flew attack helicopters and I gunned for him. I perfected gunning in helicopters in Battlefield 3, as I was #1 on Xbox 360 for UH-1Y Venom (the transport helicopter) kills in the United States. So, as you can see, when I picked up Battlefield 1 and discovered the bomber had a gunner position, I was essentially a natural at it.
Lastly, I was around #30 in the world across all platforms for bomber kills before receiving an unwarranted ban from EA's FairFight. I've used the gunner position so much now that it may seem like I am "aimbotting," as so many viewers have claimed me to be. The thing is, I know exactly how to lead and position the cursor to account for gravity in BF1. Also, the bomber gunner does 22 direct damage to enemies (or if the rounds land incredibly close). So, you'll see me firing 5 shots and quickly switching targets because I know the target I just fired at is going to die.
Hopefully, this convinces you. If not, I genuinely hope that you reconsider your opinion. I hope to be back playing this game in the future.

As a result, it basically muted me for the entire game... Rookie mistake! But hey, good trial run overall.

Engineer is definitely the strongest class in ROR2 with triple the item activation (with two turrets). I could have easily kept going, but hey, it has to end sometime. This was also my first time finding the fire aspect equipment in 40 hours of game time.Squad vs. Ravic and mus1CK | Competitive Infantry - BF1SpartanHoplite2017-12-17 | If Battlefield 1 and "competitive" were ever mentioned in the same sentence, I imagine it would look something like this. Crazy squad game vs. Ravic and his crew on Argonne Forest back in August. Note the score at the end of the round between the two teams; we held three flags for about nine minutes or so. A lot has been going on in my life lately as I have been applying to medical school. As a result, there has not been much in terms of content generation. Really, I have not played Battlefield since October. However, I still hope you enjoy this match. Oh, and to all the people who say I can't play on the ground, this one's for you. Merry Christmas!101-0 Anti-Air Bomber | 4 Health ESCAPE! | BF1 Bomber GunnerSpartanHoplite2017-09-26 | "We're back" even though we really never left. This should be our last full-length bomber match, as I don't have any other matches to upload. If anything, there might be a clip compilation in the future, but I've really lost interest in BF1 lately. So, to all those that wanted to see us in the Heavy Bomber, I apologize. From Niccaman's videos, that vehicle seems fairly worthless.
I have one more video to upload; there are two well-known streamers in it. The match was down to the wire and extremely competitive. That video will probably be our last one until Battlefront 2. Yes, I'm getting that game- I actually liked the first one before it became plagued with issues. But until then, I hope you guys like this extended bomber streak!102-5 The Dive Bomber - BF1 Bomber GunnerSpartanHoplite2017-08-11 | Back on Empires Edge. This time, an artillery truck in the enemy spawn was giving us trouble, so we altered our flight path to a high dive strategy to effectively eliminate the enemy front line. He got us a few times, but it's not good for your team when you sit in your uncap with a valuable asset like that. Just another issue that plagues BF1 from time to time.Back in Action: 160+ Kills Across Two Rounds - BF1 Bomber GunnerSpartanHoplite2017-08-01 | Make sure you stick around for the bonus clips at the end! The front gun isn't anti-infantry; it's actually anti-everything. People ask us all the time how we deal with enemy fighters. Hopefully, this video addresses that common question.Lets Go For 100 - Battlefield 1 Bomber GunnerSpartanHoplite2017-06-19 | Back on St. Quentin starting the match with a goal of 100 kills. The result of an absolute decimation of the enemy team provides you guys with a rather short, yet exciting game back in the bomber. Hope you guys enjoy. Oh and if anyone sees Nukebutt in game, tell him he's a PTFO legend :)103 Kill Infantry Gameplay - xTDGxMuffin - Battlefield 1 ConquestSpartanHoplite2017-06-14 | A conquest game (plus some extra clips) on Argonne Forest with some quality infantry gameplay from Muffin. As you can see, post-nerf model A-10 hunter is still a viable mopping machine. OP? That's up to you. We're also continuing the trend with salty enemies, despite not being in the bomber this time.
Final record of second game: 104-15; one very last kill at the end we missed :)Clogging the Kill Feed - Bomber Squad Best Moments - Battlefield 1SpartanHoplite2017-06-05 | The grand collection of the best moments in the sky. Enjoy the funny moments and extra salty enemies. Big thanks to the Hoplite Heroes for being the best support for the bomber. Without you guys, not nearly as much salt would have been dispensed in these games.
Apologies for the loud shouting at different points in the video. Some of these clips were taken before I changed microphones.
Music: Funny Bone - Banjamataz 1118-1 Bomber Squad Gameplay - Pilots Perspective + Salty Enemies - Battlefield 1SpartanHoplite2017-05-30 | Apologies for the delay! But here we are, back with a new video. This time, upon popular request, my pilot xTDGx Muffin showcases his expertise in the battlefield. A lot of viewers wanted to see how we coordinate from his perspective. It's pretty lame how he does not get many driver assist points from flying me around. Keep an eye on the killfeed at the top right to see just how many kills we're getting during a pass or circle. More videos to come this week. Stay tuned!
Music: Funny Bone - Banjamataz 1152-2 How did I NOT get banned? + Extreme Salt | BF1 Bomber GunnerSpartanHoplite2017-04-01 | This is the most kills I have ever gotten in a game of 64-player conquest in Battlefield 1. However, this time I did not receive a ban from FairFight. People were clearly mad in the chat, so I am assuming I got reported. So why didn't I get banned? Because the game wasn't a total stomp like my 126-kill on Fao Fortress? Nobody knows.
It seems like DICE has finally gotten their garbage together with FairFight. Let's all hope this is the case! The Art of the Back Cap - Battlefield 1 Squad GameplaySpartanHoplite2017-03-21 | Some of you guys wanted infantry gameplay, so here's my perspective. We were getting locked down in the bomber, so Muffin and I decided to clean house at A point instead. We managed to hold off so many of them- this allowed the rest of the team to move forward, as we took enemies off of the frontline. It's thinking like this that wins Battlefield games. How can we move the frontline to give us a better winning chance? Usually, the simplest way is to flank and back cap.
Let me know if you would like to see more infantry/squad gameplay like this!BANNED AGAIN - 126 Kill Streak - Battlefield 1 Bomber GunnerSpartanHoplite2017-03-08 | EDIT 1: This account had all ban history removed in Spring 2017 and was effectively whitelisted; the direct result of an hour-long Skype conversation with a DICE producer. I have not played this game since August as my friends and I have moved on altogether. -- Here is another outrageous bomber game with myself and the squad. Once again, credit to xTDGxMuffin for the amazing flying. This game footage was taken on 2/17 and the ban/suspension screen was captured on 2/20 right at the start of the night. No rounds had been played on the 18th and 19th. This was my last recorded bomber gunner game. As a result, I will not be playing in the bomber anymore. I still have a lot of bomber games that can be uploaded; just know that this is the most recent (and final) one.
I have mixed feelings on the situation in general. Games like this are so commonplace when you have a coordinated pilot that flies in specific patterns. And that is the thing- people assume all the time that I am hacking or cheating, whether it be in game or in the comment section below. Fact of the matter is that I am a legitimate player and I have never cheated in an online multiplayer game; Battlefield 1 is no exception. Just because my aim is twitchy that automatically makes me a hacker? Clearly, those that constantly complain and call me a hacker have never watched any ESports or any competitive FPS tournaments before.
What really bothers me is the state of FairFight in Battlefield 1. We have all seen “real” hackers in game—players that are getting instant headshot kills with the MG15 from across the map, invisible players, players making their kills in the killfeed appear as a vehicle when they are not, players having “soft” damage buffs, etc. How does FairFight not catch any of this? Rather, how am I being banned for using something that is IN THE GAME? Literally anyone can do what I do. It is an in-game feature. It’s a vehicle that has a high explosive cannon that is being fired down on infantry that cannot be easily nor readily countered save for other planes and AA guns. How are people so naïve?
I could go on and on. Honestly, I am just beating a dead horse at this point. Since my suspension, I have played many games as an infantry player. Contrary to popular belief, I am actually more than decent on the ground (which is further magnified through squad play). I have not received any other in-game suspensions or bans, even though my accuracy and target acquisition is just as good on the ground. So, I won’t be playing in the bomber anymore. FairFight is not designed to track actual cheating in game. Rather, it looks at someone like me, who achieves hundreds of kills through teamwork, and it says “that isn’t possible.”
Funny, because it actually is. -- EDIT 2: So DICE finally announced and admitted players were being wrongfully reported. forums.battlefield.com/en-us/discussion/98475/battlefield-1-fairfight-anti-cheat-policy-optimizationSuez Tank Crew - Battlefield 1 Heavy TankSpartanHoplite2017-02-25 | Raw, unedited footage of a squad-orientated tank game using the Heavy Breakthrough variant. This is my favorite variant for squad play, as the incredibly powerful front anti-armor cannon is paired with two high-explosive machine guns on the sides. 90 kills were accumulated by the three of us during this round. Team members can spawn into the heavy tank even if they are not in your squad, which is why you'll see me playing the outskirts a lot. If you have two squadmates repairing you, a lot of damage can be done.112-4 FORTRESS LOCKDOWN! - Battlefield 1 Bomber GunnerSpartanHoplite2017-02-17 | Sadly, we couldn't find Fao. Maybe I should have turned on my thermal sights...
A squadmate was using the spotting periscope, hence the red outlines on various enemies.91-0 DESERT AC-130! - Battlefield 1 Bomber GunnerSpartanHoplite2017-02-10 | The AC-130 crew is back on Sinai Desert! Here is a brief game of 64-player Conquest highlighting air superiority and teamwork. There has to be at least 10 people on screen at 0:20.172-7 Getting Kicked for a High Score - Battlefield 1 Bomber GunnerSpartanHoplite2017-02-02 | Hats off to FlawlessEnergy for the play of the game.
Here's a brief update regarding what has happened since this gaming session. This footage was taken on 1/23/17. Since then, everything with this new account (if you didn't notice, I'm playing on a new account; there's an "x" in my name) has been fine. I have not been banned by FairFight or kicked or anything of that nature, nor have I received any in-menu messages or emails from EA. The point of this video is to showcase what typically happens when you get over 170 kills in a 3-round Operations game. The rounds and scores stack. So if my combined award score and in-game score is 100,000 (like it was in my 200 kill video) and the match lasts 25 mins total, then technically, my score per minute is 4,000 for that particular game. This alone (in my personal opinion) is why I get kicked from games like this. Now it did not say I got banned by FairFight, but this exact situation has happened before and I got banned in the long run. However, I had to record 170+ kills in an Operations game a second time for that to happen.
So where does that leave me? I can't play 64-player Operations in the bomber anymore. For whatever reason, getting around 100 kills is acceptable by FairFight, but 170 is not. I have footage of me recording 90+ and 120+ kill games on conquest. Look for those in the future. I hope that this is the last time my channel is associated with any type of server kick or FairFight ban. My goal is to highlight the good games my squad has and the associated teamwork and communication- not the negativities associated with "hacking" and cheating. I hope that by posting videos like these, the unwarranted "hackusations" will stop.
EDIT: For anyone wondering how I was able to rack up so many kills at level/rank 7: On my original account, I was rank 81.
