March 28, 1935, fire fighters from the Cleveland fire department developed a new fire alarm that automatically cuffed itself to your wrist upon pulling. This was down in an attempt to sway false alarms from coming in, but in turn stopped people from contacting the fire department all together. The idea had good intentions but ended up failing.
