It is finally here... Fully-Automatic Unload-Safe Shaky-Sand! Everything is hooked up to one input, so you can turn the farm on or off with one switch, or hook it up to a comparator line to automatically turn it on/off based on the needs of your super-smelter. There is no manual player input required... no replanting, no fixing the sand, no checking to make sure it is shaking... the Sand will Shake every time you turn the farm on, first time. This design only works with bamboo, but is one-wide-tileable and will generate 5,000 bamboo per hour per crop.
While I came up with the redstone torch idea as the solution for my on/off zero-tick before I saw his video, props to Matticus - youtube.com/watch?v=KzBq-sIA8NU - for using that trick in his design before I published mine :)
