The quilt blocks in Cross It Out could be considered half blocks since they're triangular. The full block comes together from two half blocks done in different colorings.
Sara shows how to make bonus half square triangles for a potential future project while using the stitch-and-flip method on the half-blocks. Once the sashing and both pieced and solid cornerstones are added, secondary and tertiary patterns emerge in the full quilt assembly which makes fascinating use of only four prints and a background fabric.
