We don't know the exact details but the landlord was forced to take decisive action after the business owner went AWOL. What we do know is that the staff was owed back pay and suddenly out of work. We rallied our community to hold a fundraiser down the road at Lee's Palace, with all proceeds going to the staff. We also started an online campaign to help them. Between this and the event, we have raised close to 10k. Choir! 2019-09-23 | Daniel Johnston died last week at 58 years old, a singular voice in music and art that inspired so many. Famous acts covered his songs, art dealers sold his paintings, and fans were drawn to his raw sincerity. We were lucky to have him for the time that we did. But his legacy will live on. This past Tuesday, we dedicated our night to him, with proceeds going to Art With Impact, a charity that uses art to help people working through mental illness.
