AI Agents are transforming how we build software but taking them from prototype to production remains the biggest challenge enterprise teams face. AI Agents need to call real tools- and today that means fragile, custom integrations that break when anything changes. MCP gives agents a standard way to discover and invoke tools at runtime. In this session, you will see a real-world scenario such as a DevOps CI/CD automation system where agents identify detect deployment issues, diagnose, and create rollback PRs in Azure DevOps with the use of Azure compute services and AI services, such as Azure Functions MCP tool extension coded in .NET and use Microsoft Foundry and MAF (Microsoft Agent Framework)

This session was originally presented in-person at Microsoft Build 2026 San Francisco (LTG455) and recorded for the tech and Microsoft developer community to see.
