The Frankenthaler Climate Initiative is catalyzing climate action in the visual arts, and we're proud to have received a grant to install a new LED lighting system in the museumâs Main Galleries and adjacent exhibition spaces. The project will remediate inefficient incandescent lighting, increase energy efficiency, and decrease energy costs. đĄ
In preparation for installation, Preparator Andrea Edwards spent time (with an assist from the CMC mat cutter) cutting 10°x30° and 20°x40° filters that help to soften and shape the light being emitted from the fixtures. That way, we can use the same fixtures as spots and floods with varying 10°x30° and 20°x40° filters. âš
