Minecraft Java Any% SSG Speedrun in 6:34 (1.14.4) [PB]
updated
1.2.5 version really lags a lot my PC even on Superflat... lol
Anyway, here it is, the most powerful internal dupe that works from Release 1.0 to Release 1.8.9 and does not use TNT at all. (The same identical setup will work)
Note: This technique might destroy items in 1.3+, so you must hope that you don't get unlucky with the swapping.
(Probably due to 0-Stack not being allowed to drop from containers after 1.3+)
This is the first ever oneshot recorded.
I shared this in a discord chat with other runners and it started the oneshot technique history. Skip to 6:00 to see it. [No Sounds]
(Discovered accidentally while using MCP, since I was testing Softlock as well... but this other specific technique was banned later)

Old Description below (EXTREMELY INACCURATE, just leaving for historical purpose)
I recommend you to read Curcuit's explanation here instead [!!!]: youtube.com/watch?v=ON8c6IhE7-E
Again, everything below is mostly OUTDATED and INCORRECT. These are the thoughts I had back in 2022.

Old Title:
(MCP 1.10) How to Oneshot Enderdragon going in Softlock status (1.9-1.10) [Status: ?]
Old Description:
[No Sounds]
Skip to 6:00 if you want to see the interesting part of the video
Softlock status is an unavoidable mistake in the code, only occuring on specific seeds with a certain end tower configuration, that prevents the Enderdragon to move at all after leaving a perch. This is also caused by destroying OR unloading (hard but possible setup) all crystals on the Landing Approach and Takeoff Phases.
My spreadsheet on Glitches and Exploits in the game will explain better how softlock works: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/19EuW3NmQWCMrOmIWGgaPvLeNWhpw7Fc16UdGpyjP6fY/edit#gid=0
The one-shot is caused by the dragon hitbox on every Phase (except perching phases) combined with the mechanics of arrow shoot by bow. A charged arrow shoot will be multiplied by amount of speed to deal damage and the game has weird calculation with arrow and Ender Dragon hitbox in 1.9-1.13 (The speed of the arrow will increase more and more closer you are to her body hitbox center). By using these facts, you can shoot the dragon in the weakest (center) point of the body and with the fastest possible arrow (Setup in the video) to deal more than 200+ damage, killing the Ender Dragon instantly.

Release 1.19.4
Timesave: I walk one chunk less (16 blocks), thus saving overall 32 blocks back and forth.
I should specify that changing Render Distance actually fixes a bug in Release 1.9-1.12.2 that makes the unloaded dragon disappear for the entire perch, it is not really required.
I still don't know if this is allowed, but surely it is epic.

Pretty lucky, yep.
Very difficult (and unpredictable), but it works.. sort of
You can also delete items [literally] if you use 2 recipes with 2x2 grid (crafting table/stone bricks/ecc)
There's no way you can duplicate items without quitting from the game in just one minute and in a New World. Right?
[Huh, let's ignore 1.0-1.1 and 1.3-1.5 for a moment lol]
This is the Recipe Book glitch in 1.12.0 and it was fixed in 1.12.1.
For unknown reasons, I never seen anybody doing this without the tick perfect one (including myself...lol)... everybody did the harder method. So here we are with the easier one!
"Inspired" by bug report "MC-1860", but discovered a proper way to reproduce it consistently.
As stated by a comment below (by Sl1mJ1m), this is the TNT negative item glitch, but using "phantom" breaking instead of a TNT. (I verified it and it was fixed in 1.6)
So, ironically, this glitch was already known, but I found a way easier setup. Lol

Combo color + Hitsound sync + Streams (improved) progress. [This is a DIRECT conversion, I didn't map this]
Streams can be improved, but conversion logic is very difficult. I might leave them as is for now. After releasing this, I'll probably try to make slider and spinner in some way. (currently it tries to keep the vanilla stream and forces the object to be +1 far, but the code isn't very good...I'll share the datapack later so other people can try to make their own conversion for that lol)
Easy first on this map! I think my osu!client is a bit bugged, everything is a square... the play is 100% legit and it's not auto!! My monitor was running at 46 fps and sometimes the mouse looks like jumping, but i can guarantee you as a professional java coder that the play is legit.

I'll (try to) implement sliderends (with a new object) and spinner later... I took a lot of time to optimize the commands/tick (see below).
[Again badly sync...I'm not sure if it's my code wrong, the 50 ms limitation, hitsound sync, ecc... I'll doublecheck later (improved though)]

2) Then you place a real Item on the crafting table (hotkey 1) AND close the crafting table GUI in the same tick.
3) If you see the Phantom Tool in your hotbar, then the setup worked and you can break Obsidian to start a 5 minutes timer. (A mining packet is sent to the server, even if the item is not "real", client side only)
BTW: I also showed that the Obsidian can be broken from every location, as long as you are in the same dimension.
It only supports one wireless block each time, but this is going to be very useful in certain custom maps. (Yes, the block really breaks by itself after a while and water/redstone will be delayed)
You can't see this in the video:
On Touchscreen Mode, you just press outside the inventory to close it WITHOUT dropping the items. Yes, it is that easy.
I can't believe this is real. I figured this accidentally...epic.
It works on all versions with Touchscreen Option as far as I know.
Banned? Not banned? It's really hard to say lol.

1) 1.0-1.2: There's no trading [in 1.3+ you can just trade for eye of ender]
2) You can get a Sharpness IV Diamond Sword by farming enough xp orbs to reach 36+ levels about.
3) 1.0-1.2 [No Trading] can be beaten on Peaceful Difficulty, but it's incredibly tedious... this is just one of the three task :eyes:
Not extremely optimal, but considering the limitations :eyes:
Yep, that's what you think, a solid color background system that goes around the Shaders limitation for colors and it's also an optical illusion! [15° degrees trick, it uses the vanilla color of the texture]. (I tested with White/Green colors, but should work with all probably)... I haven't tried changing color while playing yet, but it can probably be done (probably will not be instant, but close enough.. maybe when you are inside a tunnel it will be ok)
Inspired by this recreation: youtube.com/watch?v=V5f5XDhPW_E
More information (Long Wall of Text) below:
- Yes, if you collide with blocks, you'll die after one tick (50 ms). [It will be more clear when I'll share this]
- 20 ticks [server] inputs only (there's NO way to have more accurate inputs sadly, this is just how the game works), using a known method with eye of ender (I don't claim anything, it's pretty much on every minecraft command channel)
- The boats are not feasible for hitbox detection sadly [I've tried], but if you don't jump, they are pretty much fine for levels (and a very nice stairs effect).
[There are some visual glitches ikr, also I need to adjust the camera, but it looks great]
- Hitbox detection is very limited, I'm trying to do find a solution, but using boats is too unreliable. [Maybe other mobs will work, but I'm going to share the datapack soon, so others can help me if they want to contribute to this project]
- Uncapped Client Side Movement Detection with Server Commands using Chicken Nogravity??? YES!
(Please Mojang, do NOT fix this [or add a workaround heh]... Even if I think applying Motion to Chicken with Nogravity is technically a glitch, since other mobs do not seem to have the same behaviour)
- I'll share Datapack + Resource pack when I finish a custom level with this and other features not shown in the video (hopefully soon, but I don't want to rush it), I want to implement other stuff than those shown in the video (I also want to optimize the commands). I still need to fix a lot of stuff, but so far it looks great to play (20 hz gameplay)
- No, this will NOT fully recreate Geometry Dash in Minecraft (20 hz inputs and other endless limitations...) and it's not intended to be an actual recreation faithful to the original either (I plan to make this a 3D automatic platformer with rhythm, but it will take a while, it's just a fun GD inspired project)
EDIT: I forgot to show my unlisted +HDFL yesterday: youtu.be/KhNCc0vsmec (Pretty much the same, but with HD)
More info:
Osu! Mods in Geometry Dash :eyes:
There's a very specific concept behind the Flashlight, the major aspect is that it must be symmetrical, since it must work when you go from left to right and viceversa. [This might not work in a very specific case, when the map uses custom objects as a replacement for the player... but that would be impossible to address]
I've made HD/FL using slidergroove2.png, aka "Progress Bar", found in Resources. This allows you to play EVERY single map with Hidden, Flashlight or Hidden Flashlight.
Fully converted high difficulty gridmap and it's also fully playable with Relax mod and Warp script (6K). (33ms window to hit each note, ty Stats-Kun for this)
literally nobody:
me: *catch the mania*
How does it work?
- Global hotkey script which moves/warps the mouse on the playfield. (In this case, it was divided by 6 equally spaced areas on a 1280 pixels length, which are 213.333.. pixels for each area. Then I assigned 6 keys to move the player)
- A beatmap converter that converts existing osu! Standard/Catch The Beat maps into playable "Grid Map" maps. (Almost all sliders are missing currently)
- Obviously, this only works when you use Relax (RX) mod.
- No, I'm not using scripts/global hotkeys when playing online, this was completely done offline. (and I'll keep doing this offline whenever I want to play Grid Map playstyle)
-Grid Map Warp: Uses the same amount of keys as areas to warp (like osu!mania)
(This can work on every windowed game and it's meant to be similar to the Flashlight mod in Osu!)
[Drain 10 is "6 seconds/shrink", Shrink 7 is the maximum custom shrink of the flashlight using my "standard", Shrink 10 is just about 72x72 pixels area]

Dragon Slayer Advancement: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1y0NIFzmOUBSCVOx2Zx0-DF-gOyRgT22kMO69LjWv8IY/edit?usp=sharing
Fun Facts:
-There are only 2^48 unique seeds due to 1.18-es1 new biome map...
-This means there are only (2^48)*(128) unique portal rooms and... sister seeds are pretty much identical...
-This makes SSG 1.18 potentially slower than any other version of the game.
To do:
- Record other entities position, rotation and dimension
- Local block modification (Doing a global block check would lag the game)
- Import/Export feature (Currently everything is already stored in N minecart chests, you'll be able to export using structure blocks to replay in different worlds)
Next is hitsound / better combo color / remove one item layer for Mania-CTB controls (1-9) / ...
(I'll try to add ticks later, I can't add droplets... useless as well)

"Delete Structure Piece" Glitch: This allows you to revert "world population" on a specific pattern of chunks by crashing the game during the Ingame Menu quicksave. This prevents any "structure" to override those chunks. (Heavily RNG, but mostly fixed if correct timing, exact coordinates and Render Distance value)
This is a combination of the Infinite Nether Portal Item duplication glitch + Minecart disappearing into NaN position glitch.
(Yes, please... don't try to say that the items are cheated in, they were not)
Original video showcasing the NaN position glitch: youtube.com/watch?v=k6pELK7KCeo
Random video showcasing the Infinite Item glitch: youtube.com/watch?v=rhGTgbL-EGg
It also works in Beta 1.5 and before, but you can't survive (not enough food/no way to get infinite food)
Using a better setup & everything done faster, you can do everything in less than 2 minutes.
(Fixed 65-67 seconds to get On a Rail after the setup)
(The portal shown in this video is impossible, but there is another way to obtain blazes without getting Hell biome, I'll show this in the next video)
15w37a: A new fix made by devs resolved partially the issue, it will lag for 2-3 minutes, but no more crashes when RD32 is used. It might be based on my bad specs tbh.
1.9: Apparently they managed to get rid of the save&quit crash and the lag only occurs for about 1 minute. (at worst)
I hope it's possible to backport these fixes to 1.8.x with a mod.
The bug caused chunks to rebuild 5 times (aka loading 5 times the same world... about)
Free Xray glitch moment
(any form of hate will NOT be tollerated and I might remove the comment section)
It's just a speedrun for fun, don't hate.
And yes.... I added the Distorted Manhunt song manually... ^^
So many glitches used... in this "visual novel" speedrun:
-Quicksave is used to skip around 38% of the choices and it's used frequently.
(Also used to skip most part of Dream final choices)
-You only need to see 6 unique ending, BUT the code of the game allows you to get Dream's choices with 5 unique ending + 1 repeated ending (Being apparently "Platonic Sapnap ", idk why...I found it accidentally)
-You must reload the game two times in order to beat the game in all cases, one time is done after the 5th ending (In order to trigger the glitch above), the other one is done after getting the two Dream's ending, which unlocks the final "bad ending" that beats the game.
Final note:
[Not really DT, but the Fast Forward used is faster than 1.5x, so let's assume it was DT lol
(I might retry this with DT for real if I ever decide to redo this)]
You only need 4 stacks of Emerald.
Major props to Jace174 for letting me know that you can actually obtain Emerald with Trading and that you obtain Hearts with Trading as well.
Jace174's channel: youtube.com/channel/UCP-e-FVpBoXMWCzmLTT03pg
I did this in Creative, but it's doable in Survival with 4-5-6 beds.
If you could implement End Crystal dupe with this... it will only take 3 hits.
Still pretty hard to do, I'll try to find more setup (This was the best so far)
Seed: 4717237
Explanation:
I used 150+ (163) tnt cart, a specific railway, full diamond armor, golden apples, a pearl, a totem of undying and slow falling (this last one might be skipped) to reach Outer End Islands without even triggering the Ender Dragon Battle system.
Note that this is heavily Render Distance based and it's up to your pc and recording settings (you should test a specific setup before running a Softlock Seed).
While this seems pointless, this can be done on all Softlock Seeds (there's another setup for caged, where you must respawn + more tnt carts) and this means you will be able to build a flying machine (these are well known, but if you don't, they are based on pistons and slime blocks) that can go to 0 0... allowing the end portal to spawn correctly AND you will be able to beat the game (!)
Since Totem of Undying works on every difficulty/gamemode, you can also beat Softlock Seeds in Hardcore mode.
Softlock Seed(s) generates the Exit Portal at height y=0, preventing the lower part of the portal to create and the player becomes unable to beat the game forever. [I take no credit for finding these "softlock" seed btw]
However, using glitches, it is possible to place a block at X:0 Z:0 before the creation of the End Battle, allowing the Exit Portal to generate on a different height and this let's you beat the game.
[Imagine being faster than your previous run with a bad DT speedrun.]
