Dead Malls: Century III Mall, February 17, 2015 Steve Z 2015-02-18 | **NOTE** One of the things about getting video in a shopping mall is trying to not trigger security guards' attention. Some parts of the video are viewing the ground and I wasn't looking so I could get the video. Continue into the video and it gets better. A walkthrough of Century III Mall taken on February 17, 2015. Since the last time I did a walkthrough, several significant merchants, such as Sears, RadioShack, American Eagle Outfitters, Aeropostale, GameStop, Philip Pelusi have closed up shop. The mall itself has also changed hands in ownership, now owned by Las Vegas' Moonbeam Investment Group, which purchased the mall after Simon defaulted on its loan in 2013.Overall, the mall is mostly empty, although some tenants still cling to life. Some stores, like fye, Spencer gifts, and Champs Outlet, still bring traffic to the mall as they are the only units in the South Hills, but it is hard to picture most of the spaces to be filled, as many were small businesses back in the 1990s that were purchased or lost their leases. Anchors Dick's, Macy's, and JCPenney still hold tight, although it appears that the mall may be closing at 6 pm daily due to lack of foot traffic (note the gates closing on many of the stores).

Traction control off...lots of torque steer while trying to hold onto my iPhone, as that LFX engine and its 270 ft lb torque and 300 hp really kicks it up a notch. Not bad, considering I was coming home with a full trunk of Christmas gifts.

Much of it is ghetto stores, although there are still some national chains such as fye, AEO, Auntie Anne's, Spencer Gifts, and Champs Sports in place. Many of the kiosks are gone, and as you can see, the cavernous building is probably only 45% occupied. Did both floors for your consumption.

Speed Run in 2013 Chevy Spark 2LT (Slowest Car In PA) Steve Z 2013-08-31 | Impala needed to be serviced, and so the Chevy dealer gave me a 2013 Chevy Spark as a free rental. Thrift Store Find: $1 Katy Perry (Hudson)s Christian Album Steve Z 2013-07-11 | There are always good finds for unbeatable prices at secondhand stores. I found this gem at the Half-Price Books in Ross Township, north of Pittsburgh. This is Katy Perry's first album, issued under her real name, Katy Hudson. This was mastered in 2001 by small (now nonexistent) record label Red Hill Records, and supposedly, only 100 of these discs exist. You'd think the people at HPB would do a little research into the value of this disc....I paid all of $1 for it off the clearance rack. eBay supposedly has a few for sale, starting at $60 and rising to $300+. Disc is used but has no scratches...should I hold onto it?And unless you are willing to pay good money, NOT FOR SALE. Sorry.

My Own War Against Bipolar Disorder, and Understanding Its Power Steve Z 2013-06-24 | *NOTE* Civil discussion only. Anyways, this video is about something I have had all my life, a trait, a way of persisting through trouble, a way to go and fight the good fight. In this video, I discuss bipolar disorder, and surviving with it. Bipolar, unlike autism, Down syndrome, or other mental/psychological disorders, is rarely spotted and even more rarely empathized with. People won't call a Down syndrome sufferer a "retard" or a "Mongoloid", but yet bipolars will be called "crazy", "(a)hole", "rebel", or troublemaker. They often cannot maintain relationships, must take medicine that makes them slow, uncoordinated, and obese. They are highly likely to suffer through drug and alcohol addiction. Even things such as caffeine can often spur manic episodes.I discuss my experiences with bipolar, and how I control it, both from outside and inside sources.BTW, this was in tribute to Demi Lovato....when I heard her song today, I thought about making this video.

My New Ride - 2012 Chevrolet Impala LT Steve Z 2013-05-21 | Well, after 4 and a half years of driving the Ford Crown Victoria, the car finally gave up on me (it was still drivable and could still go highway speeds, but the bottom was rusting out and parts were going every week). We gave the Crown Vic a somber farewell to the auto auction.In its place is the new car, "Ashlee Onyx", a 2012 Chevrolet Impala LT. Definitely an upgrade on a lot of sets from the Vic, from its powerful Camaro/Caprice LFX V6 engine producing 302 horsepower, to the Bluetooth, to the sunroof and alloy rims....and oh, yes, the *new car smell*. Definitely love this car so far (and so did my neighbors LOL). Here is my quick review of the car, so have a look at it and comment/link/share!
