After 160 years of making an impact, the University of Kentucky celebrated its Founders Day on Feb. 22, 2025. Founded as a land-grant institution in 1865, UK continues to advance agriculture through the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment.
“Our college has been a cornerstone of innovation, education and service to Kentucky,” said Laura Stephenson, dean of Martin-Gatton CAFE and vice president for land-grant engagement.
