Midway to Main Street | Flying Saucers & Dancing Soda: A Brief History of Sci-Fi and Drive-Ins @MidwaytoMainStreet | Uploaded July 2019 | Updated October 2024, 22 hours ago.
One of my favorite elements of Disney's Hollywood Studios is the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant. It transports guests back to the golden age of drive-in movie theaters and features a 47-minute long reel that plays on the big screen which includes film trailers, newsreels, and animated shorts. Today we’re going to look at the history of drive-ins, as well as some of the very real sci-fi movies that play at the Sci-Fi Dine-In restaurant.
