As soon as we found out we would be working from home for the Q2 of 2020 I looked around and decided I needed a Floating Corner Computer Desk and one that was large enough to be a full computer desk for at least two people! The IKEA desk that was in the office before was on it's last legs, it did last a long time and we got it at an estate sale for next to nothing but it had to go! This new desk is such a huge improvement!

The two sides of the corner desk are about 90" long and just under 1.5" thick and made from solid Hickory hardwood so these desks will last forever! They are mounted to the wall using a custom DIY fabricated 2x2" metal leg that is cantilevered from the wall. At first I was a bit worried about the strength of the leg but it is solid as a rock, very pleased!
The corner of the desk is held up with a set of drawers that serves as a home for all the odds and ends you would find on a working desk. We do have a filing cabinet under the other side of the desk but it is not a supportive structure, just a storage cabinet....will cover that build shortly.
