A common error is that a function will require the Trigger Device to send it an OPTIONAL agent type, but often it is only sent the Agent data type not in a container. This results in an error that says: Expects a value of Optional Agent but got Agent type. The solution is simply to put a question mark in front of the agent type and therefore put it in a container.
