First Look. 2026 BYD Fangchengbao Tai 7 EV
The 2026 BYD Fangchengbao Tai 7 EV is a bold and adventure-focused electric SUV that combines premium comfort with serious performance. Also marketed as the Titanium 7 or Ti7, the SUV adopts a muscular, boxy exterior with modern LED lighting, large proportions, and a spacious five-seat cabin designed for both urban driving and off-road exploration. Measuring 4,999 mm in length with a 2,920 mm wheelbase, the Tai 7 offers excellent interior room along with practical storage solutions, including a massive 970-liter rear cargo area and a 201-liter front trunk. Its upscale cabin integrates advanced technology with a futuristic seven-screen smart cockpit layout centered around a large 15.6-inch infotainment display and rear entertainment tablets for passengers.
The Tai 7 EV is offered in both Rear-Wheel Drive and All-Wheel Drive configurations, delivering a wide range of performance options. The RWD model uses a single electric motor producing 300 kW (402 hp) and 365 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in 7.3 seconds. Buyers seeking higher performance can opt for the dual-motor AWD version, which boosts output to 515 kW (691 hp) and 675 Nm of torque. This setup cuts the 0–100 km/h time to just 4.5 seconds while allowing a top speed of 240 km/h. BYD also offers an optional intelligent four-wheel-drive package that includes advanced torque control technology and upgraded four-piston brake calipers for improved handling and braking performance.
Powering the SUV are BYD’s second-generation Blade battery packs available in 92 kWh and 105.7 kWh capacities. Depending on the configuration, the Tai 7 delivers an impressive CLTC driving range between 675 km and 755 km, making it suitable for long-distance travel. One of its standout features is BYD’s ultra-fast flash charging capability, which can recharge the battery from 10% to 97% in just over nine minutes at compatible charging stations. The SUV also emphasizes luxury and intelligent driving, featuring a premium 20-speaker Devialet sound system and the advanced DiPilot 300 driver assistance suite with LiDAR technology available on higher trims. Pricing starts at approximately 199,800 yuan for the base RWD model, while the long-range variant begins around 209,800 yuan.
