Rovos Rail’s First Class Train should be at the top of your travel bucket list. In this video, we’ll leave Pretoria, just outside Johannesburg at 6:15pm on our first day. We’ll head north, into Zimbabwe where, four nights later, we’ll arrive at Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Along the way, we’ll travel in a First Class train car in the Deluxe Suite with every amenity you can imagine (and some First Class Luxuries guaranteed to surprise you!).
Onboard the Deluxe Suite experience, we’ll have our own dedicated hostess to take care of our every need, a HUGE room with massively comfortable beds, and delicious, five star food.
Our room is in the middle category of Suites on the train. We’ll also show you around the entire train, including the lounge cars, dining cars, and - my favorite - the observation car!
We even had the opportunity to get out and explore two incredible national parks along the way: Matobo National Park (Zimbabwe’s oldest national park) and Hwange National Park (Zimbabwe’s largest national park). In both, we’ll have some pretty wild animal encounters, making this a true Train Safari
