I was a rare fan of the original OAE1, but the new Grell OAE2 is a different beast entirely. I compare the OAE2 against heavy hitters like the Meze 105 SILVA, HiFiMan Ananda Unveiled, and the Fosi Audio i5 to see how it stacks up in tonality, timbre, and resolution. While there are minor quirks with the 2.5mm cable connectors and headband pressure for fellow bald listeners, the sonic performance makes them easy to recommend.
