Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is now available on Nintendo Switch 2, and this video covers a full playthrough of Chapter 9, The Planet Stirs.
Pure gameplay, no commentary, captured on Nintendo Switch 2.
Chapter 9 takes the party out of the Corel Region and into the lush jungles of Gongaga, a brand new area that did not feature in the original Final Fantasy VII. The chapter splits the party across two storylines at the Gongaga Mako Reactor, with Cloud, Barret and Cait Sith facing the monstrous Specimen H1024, a Hojo creation weak to ice, while Tifa, Aerith and Yuffie deal with Scarlet arriving in her upgraded Crimson Mare Mk II mech. The Crimson Mare Mk II is a significantly tougher version of the mech fought in Final Fantasy VII Remake's INTERmission DLC, making this one of the most demanding back to back boss encounters in the entire game. The chapter also delivers some of the most significant story revelations in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, including major character moments involving Zack, Aerith and the wider Cetra mythology.
