Certain applications I love this absolutely filthy chainsaw tone. Getting the right blend is the tricky part. Some people do not like the tone that these deliver, and believe me I was one of them for a long time. Then it grew on me and now I love it for simpler type riffs with more breathing room. A GREAT AND NOT SO GREAT GUITAR UNBOXING... Kevin Frasard 2023-06-22 | New guitar day and like the title says: great and not so great. You'll see why in the video. I was beyond excited to have one of these back in my life after nearly 20 years of it being gone, and I literally did not see or think about checking the headstock first thing when I opened up the case. My excitement got the best of me and from where I was looking and talking about the guitar, I didn't even see that damaged horn on the tip of the headstock even though you see it clear as day on camera where my girlfriend was filming the video. There was a halfway decent resolution, but it is still unfortunate that the guitar showed up like it did. I'm surprised it showed up even in this condition tbh!!! In this video I dive into unboxing, demoing, and reviewing this take on the classic chainsaw tone that the Boss HM-2 is known for. First I play a few riffs on it with just my phone recording it, then we move into playing it through my Peavey Invective MH directly into my interface, followed by a few mixes. I will try and get a few more recordings with this pedal before I have to return ot to the store, but so far with the short amount of time with it I really really enjoyed its savage sound! NEW ORIGINAL BRUTAL METAL RECORDINGS Kevin Frasard 2023-04-06 | Here are a couple of new recordings that I did with both the Ibanez UV70P and the Jackson KV7Q. I'm all about writing stuff that gets me headbanging, and hopefully it has the same effect on you guys! The first recording that I did with the Universe came from a basic picking pattern at 220 bpm and it turned into a few other ideas from there. After recording it and listening to what I have so far over and over, I know exactly what I want to change and how I want it structured. Doing these shorter snippet recordings always helps me move the writing forward, and pushes me to get better on that bass guitar too. I want to record a few more grindcore tracks with my Corey B before tuning it back up to standard because acoustically and in the room, that guitar does not like anything lower than Standard B. It doesn't resonate well and just gets too muddy so it'll go back to standard, and then the Universe will drop down to A# Standard. Hopefully it likes that. Recently I bought a Shure SM57 and that dramatically improved my sound, but this is going to take that improvement even further when I blend both sounds together. It wanted CHUNKS, and CHUGS, and a real metal home to go to. It waited for me. All it took was tuning it up, and proceeding to play Mary Had a Little Lamb. Just like that, it had found it's new rightful owner lol. In all seriousness, one of the best guitar purchases that I have made in a pretty long time. Sure, a lot of my other guitars can and will do the bruts but this one does the early 90s death metal punch that is everything that I'm looking for. ME PLAYING LIVE + NEW SONG FOR 2023!!!! That was my first time in over 17 years since the last time that I was onstage playing music. It was a ton of fun and will be doing more occasional shows to come up and play a few songs with them, do some writing with the guys, but that's as far as it goes for me. I do not have any interest in ever being in a band again. I simply do not have that dedication. I like things just the way they are, and that's that. Anyways, I tacked on a little clip of the next brutal death metal song that I wrote and recorded. NGD - Worth Every Penny!!!! Kevin Frasard 2023-01-15 | New guitar day has arrived once again, and this one was indeed worth every penny!!! I haven't purchased any guitars in quite a while, but I knew what this one was when I seen it. I just could not understand why nobody scooped it up. Fortunately for me, it was at my local GC so I could check it out in person to see just why this thing was still available. As soon as I grabbed it off the rack and sat down with it I was instantly in love with it. Didn't even plug it in lol, I just knew...brought it home and did this quick video to share. Then I got to cleaning it all up, polishing the frets, treating the fretboard, and setting it all up. When I plugged it in...HOLY S***!!!!!!! I have a good amount of insanely great guitars in my collection, but this one just completely blew myself and almost everything that I have away! It just has everything that I wish all of my other guitars have. In the follow up video, I'll dive deeper into this one because it is an absolute unit!!! I still can't believe how great this guitar is, especially for the price. Just unreal. It'll be with me forever!!!

In this demo, I wanted to share what this small 1 watt tube amplifier can do when using its cab simulator into a PC. I began working on my next thrash song and this is my main amp that I use to jam on, so it was a no brainer to record this demo using all of the same settings on the amp and my MXR 10 band KFK EQ pedal. So here's what it sounds like in a mix with drums and bass guitar. I love the Randall sound, it just does it for me! It sounds awesome for death metal, and can equally deliver in a crushing thrash tone. My Peavey Invective still has its place and is a great amp, but the Randall is just different. A very good different. Brutal. Heavy. Mean. Perfect! Maybe I might have to do a video on recording both of these and seeing how they blend together. Thank you guys so much for watching!!!
