In addition to Forest Green and Horizon Black, the new Fairphone (Gen. 6+) is also available in a striking new Cobalt Blue colorway. And while it's quite the style statement, it's so much more.
The new color is purposeful and intentional. It is our way of paying homage to one of the many precious resources that go into making our phones a reality. Like the Fairphone (Gen. 6) before it, the Fairphone (Gen. 6+) also accounts for 100% of its cobalt usage through Fair Cobalt credits, ensuring that an equivalent amount of fairly sourced cobalt enters the global market.
It's not just cobalt; the Fairphone (Gen. 6+) contains 51% fair and recycled materials inside (by total weight). That includes recycled gold, fair-mined silver, fair copper, recycled plastics, fair lithium, fair tin, and more. That's why we say Fairphone is better for you... and the planet.
