Faria Tavacoli, a student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, pursuing degrees in Public Health and Neuroscience, was among five summer interns who spent time with disability health experts in the Department of Family Medicine and the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (as well as from other Michigan Medicine departments) during the MDisability and Center for Disability Health & Wellness 2026 summer internship.
Tavacoli discusses what motivated her to participate in the internship, as well as the projects she completed during the nine-week internship.
