You would think this is simple to play. Turns out nothing is simple!

I absolutely LOVE the little melodic riffs that the rhythm guitar is doing underneath the main melody. At face value it’s just a bunch of double stops where the higher note moves back and forth, played in short stabs with a lot of syncopation and emphasis on the upbeats.
How hard can it be? Well, the part is not hard to learn, but it’s pretty hard to make it sound good and tight with the rest of the rhythm section. My first attempts were so out of time it physically hurt me to listen back to them
I feel like the process of tightening these parts (simple as they seem) made me better at rhythm guitar.

Another amazing tune by Koji Kondo, from The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. Simple arrangement for bass guitars and... myself recording hand claps with my smartphone :-)
Acoustic IR from http://acousticir.free.fr/spip.php?article184
Had to do tons of EQ on this one to tame the nasty resonances of my guitar.

Recently I've been *a little* obsessed with the music from the The Legend of Zelda (the one from 1986) by @NintendoUK @NintendoAmerica @NintendoJP
I think Koji Kondo is one of the greatest composers of all time - in all genres, not just game music!
Here is a version of the title theme for guitars and bass, I am taking a lot of liberties (sorry to the purists!). Lead tones with Reaxis by @mercuriallaudio2903 , clean tones with Tonocracy.
I learned the track thanks to the amazing MIDI resources at zeldacentral.com/midi.shtml

A guest solo I wrote and performed for the master of metal mixing: Scott Elliott of @ChernobylAudio666
The solo is heavily inspired by the early Vinnie Moore style (Mind's Eye era 🙂). The fast lick is a modified version of the "Pepsi lick". Hope you'll like it 🙂
Guitars : Charvel St Dimas and Fender Strat

I tried to write and record something quite different from my usual playing style! Doing my best to sound evil for Scott's song :-D
Double tracked and harmonized to get a bigger sound, and to make the diminished runs more disgusting :-D The lead track plays in the middle. The harmony and doubling guitars are 60% stereo-widened via the JS Pseudo Stereo plugin in Reaper.
All guitars use the @mercuriallaudio2903 SS-11X lead channel with @SeacowCabs Friedman IRs.
