The Fens Street Sewer was apparently the home to the infamous Fens Phantom that seems to have killed a lot of people. There's a series of 4 holotapes that explain, from the serial killer's point of view, the meeting between him and a detective. This entire location is very morbid, but it feels so very much like Fallout at the same time. This is likely one of the most interesting and well designed locations in any modern Fallout game. It's likely that I'll be even more impressed as I continue going through the wasteland. I've only explored a quarter of it so far, if that.
In any case, this place is not only creepy, but also inhabited by quite a few ghouls (including a glowing one that I encountered while looting and unfortunately didn't get video captured for that fight). There's also some bloatflies, not any actually difficult ones (at least not for my playthrough). I'd recommend a shotgun for the ghouls and a pistol or combat rifle for the bloatflies. Otherwise, just enjoy the incredibly creepy atmosphere and save your criticals for the glowing one and any legendaries you encounter.
