Playing as a new inductee to the church of Unitlology; Vandal sets off to undo the damage she caused to try and prevent a major catastrophe.

Bringing a console level experience to mobile devices is a monumental task especially back in 2011 but IronMonkey Studios somehow achieved it, Dead Space Mobile brings everything from its console entries and translates it effortlessly to touch screen creating an experience you don't want to miss out on.
In this review I explain why this entry succeeds and why it's a must play for any Dead Space fan.

Dead Space Remake Review - The Best Remake EVER Made!?

SSJdavey 2023-07-18 | We've had many remakes over the years, some re-envision the original, paying homage to what came before but in the process changing what made it so impactful. Others seek to bring the exact same experience back with a shiny coat of paint, and then you have Resident Evil Remake. A game which improves on the original in every single way, it was beginning to look like REmake would stand in an echelon all on its own for the rest of time...Until Motive's Dead Space released and blew me away!

This review I'll be detailing why Dead Space 2023 is one of, if not, the best remake of all time,. How Motive have shown reverence to what came before and how they've managed to improve on Viseral's 2008 masterpiece in every conceivable way.

The Callisto Protocol DLC: Final Transmission SUCKS

Dead Space 3 Review - How To Kill A Franchise

SSJdavey 2023-06-15 | Releasing on the 5th February 2013 Dead Space 3 had high expectations, following Dead Space 2 was never going to be easy, but when the launch finally arrived and I got my hands on it, to say I was disappointed would be an understatement.

Its been 10 years since I last played it and with the passing of time I was hopeful that maybe it wasn’t as bad as I remembered. After all, since doing these reviews there’s been countless times that I’ve realised how much my opinion has changed and I prayed, hoped and dreamed that I would walk away a changed man, a man who would shout from the rooftops how great Dead space 3 is, how its criminally underrated and deserves your time... but sadly after finishing the game, that dream is nothing short of a nightmare.

Dead Space 3 is a disappointment and in this review I'm going to explain why that is; the impact studio interference has on what could be a great game and how visceral has thrown away everything that makes the dead space series special to chase wider mass appeal.

Resident Evil 4 Remake Made Me A Believer

SSJdavey 2023-04-20 | I've long regarded RE4 as the beginning of the end of what I look for in Resident Evil. A game which abandoned the series identity and turned it down a path which wouldn't be righted till 7 revived the series years later.
After playing the chainsaw demo I was left full of concern, the enemies went down too easy and the resources seemed never ending, but after completing the game some 20+ hours later that concern wasn’t justified the game is a masterpiece!

In this review I'm going to break down why that is, what they’ve changed to elevate the experience and why it sits right up there with the best in the entire series.

Dont Walk Past Scars Above - Review

SSJdavey 2023-03-22 | AA gaming has long been dormant thanks in part to the demise of Midway & THQ in the early 2010's . Flash forward to 2023 and we have a new contender in the AA space. SCARS ABOVE. Developed by mad head games and published by Prime Matter, Scars Above released on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox series and PC on the 28th February 2023.

After spending 9 hours with the game and earning a platinum trophy for my efforts this review I'm going to break down what works, what doesn't and ultimately if its worth your time in such a stacked 2023.

Resident Evil 4 Is Concerning

SSJdavey 2023-03-14 | Resident Evil 4 is a few short weeks away and to rev up anticipation Capcom have released a demo. But after playing it, I've come away from the experience full of equal parts anticipation and trepidation.
Here's hoping the finished game learns from the mistakes of the past and provides an experience which balances what makes Resident Evil...Resident Evil

SSJdavey 2023-02-21 | Dead Space 2 Severed is the only piece of story DLC released for Dead Space 2. Putting us in the shoes of Gabe Weller as he searches for his wife as the Sprawl descends into anarchy.
On its release I was reluctant to buy it but all these years later, as I’m reviewing the series; I felt it was right to go back and give it a chance, to see if I was too quick in passing over the experience or if my original fears were justified.

Dead Space 2 Review - The Best Dead Space

SSJdavey 2023-02-09 | Dead Space 2 released on the 25th January 2011 to overwhelming critical response becoming the highest rated survival horror title of the 7th generation of consoles.
Its been 12 years since I last played it and over the course of this review I'm going to detail how Dead Space 2 blows all of my expectations out of the water, how it raises the bar that came before and cements itself as one of the best video game sequels of all time.
