Ai no Kusabi AMV | Cruel Passion Hirou Keimou 2022-06-21 | Explaining why you love someone isn't always an easy task because sometimes a person fulfills a need you either never knew existed in you or wanted to admit you had in the first place. Love and hate walk a fine line too and can easily be corrupted by pride or misunderstood by others by how they perceive you. In the end, all you can do is savor every last moment till the end.In my opinion, this video was quite an ambitious project due to source limitations. Despite having two animated adaptions, neither fully adapts the story of the novel completely. The 1992 OVA is the closest it ever got to an ending so I chose to focus on those in the end. Upscaling the source footage so it'd survive YT compression was an adventure all on its own.Ultimately, I really wanted to focus on the complicated relationships of the main trio of the story and explore the confusing nature of love entangling all of them. To explain a bit for someone who has never seen this OVA or read the novel: Riki (black-haired) falls in love with Iason despite his torture of being the Blondie's Pet for years. Meanwhile, his former lover, Guy (the brunet), refuses to accept Riki's rejection and subsequent choice to be with Iason. His pride and beliefs that he knows what's best for Riki eventually warps his mind to the extent that his actions end up killing both Iason and Riki, who die together. The idea centered around Lan Wangji's love for Wei Wuxian and how (in his first life) hopeless Wei Wuxian is at noticing how much he is loved until (in his second life) he is reunited with Lan Wangji. In the novel, he eventually ends up believing Jiang Wanyin who tells him Lan Wangji despises him. They're happy in the end though.This video has certainly been one hell of a journey through programs. Ever since Rebellion released, I'd been thinking of how much the "twist" ending and themes of the movie really aligned with religion. Especially for Homura. It's not something people walk out of, especially if you're recovering from addiction, it's an everyday struggle. In recovery, people require supporters (family, spouses, friends, psychiatrists, etc.) to keep them from slipping off the right path. Anyone can recover, even if it's never gone completely, and live a good life and find happiness. Giving up or dying is not an answer; it's forsaking people who sacrificed their lives or effort for you and only harming those who loved you. If you're suffering from abuse, please talk to someone; you are valuable and someone will love you and it's also okay to love them, too.The narrative of Violet Evergarden encompasses recovery of various types. After all, Violet is someone who has no family, grows up in violence of war, abused as a tool/weapon, and only learned love from her commanding officer who viewed her as something more than she valued herself. Once it's all over, she develops Survivor's Guilt because Gilbert died for her. She killed numerous people as a weapon without caring for their loved ones back home because she did as she was told and never learned of consequences till Gilbert is gone. She never lived her life for herself and so she struggles hard to be an Automail Doll, a completely new lifestyle for her, and learns empathy through hearing the stories of the people she writes letters to bring together.
