Home to aboriginal tribes for 40,000yrs before the sea levels rose to heights that restricted travel by foot to the islands they soon became a navigational nightmare for any sea voyager. In 1830 a bloke by the name of John Anderson sought refuge on one of the islands. It was here that he began to cause trouble for the local aboriginal mobs along with passing ships.
