December 30, 2023 Matthew Spaccarelli 2023-12-31 | I took my truck to a dealer for an exhaust problem. It was throwing several codes. I also mentioned I heard a rattle sound and when I changed the oil it looked like the rear main seal was leaking. this is a ram 3500 dually with 16,000 mi on it. the exhaust problem started at 4,000, mi. I've been to several dealers who can't seem to fix the problem. it's been at the dealer so far for 44 days. they said they've never seen a rear main seal on a Cummins engine go out with that many miles. so far this dealer replaced the flex plate, and the rear main seal. remember that is taken over 44 days. other dealers have replaced all the sensors in the exhaust and the DPF filter but I still keep getting the same codes. they said the vehicle was ready to be picked up so I went there to inspect it and what I found was a bunch of oil all over the bottom of the truck and a dipstick that you can't use to check the oil in the transmission. how could they possibly have done this job correctly if after removing the transmission and torque converter they never checked the transmission fluid before telling me the vehicle is ready to be picked up. you could tell they never check the fluid because the dipstick stays in the dipstick tube and cannot reach the transmission. imagine if I started adding transmission fluid until it reached the line on the dipstick. I would have overfilled the transmission and caused a lot of damage that they would have blamed on me. The moral of the story is always inspect your vehicle no matter who does the work.

A compilation of why you should NOT buy a Ford truck Matthew Spaccarelli 2020-01-04 | This is a compilation video of just some of the issues I have been going through with a $70,000 Ford F-350. The problems started just after it was purchased New when the tires wouldn't hold air. 5 times in the shop and they finally replaced 4 of the wheels. Then at 22,000 miles ish, it had a cab off repair for a rear main seal, head leak, and turbo oil leak. Then the problems really started happening. This truck has spent more then 60 days in the shop. Twice of over 30 days each and it just won't stop leaking. Now Ford says it's not under warranty anymore. When I try to take it in, they usually say they can't look at it for 3 weeks. How come Toyota doesn't have that problem? Because they build a better truck? I also have 2 Ram 3500's and they haven't had hardly any problems. Ford F-350 Death Wobble caught on video Matthew Spaccarelli 2019-09-08 | Ford front end problem causes truck to get loose and wildly shake. I think this is a huge safety issue but Ford won't buy it back. I have had nothing but problems with this truck. It was bought new with cash. The manufacturer date is 11/17 so I believe it is a 2018. It has never been off-road other then a dirt road to park somewhere. Some of the problems this F-350 has had are: 4 of the 6 wheels replaced because they were leaking air, tranny dropped because of rear main seal leak, cab off repair for turbo and head oil leaks, AC just decides to quit for no reason then work fine days later, hill decent fault, active track fault, steering stabilizer and track bar replaced. There are a few other things but you get the point. If I loose control and crash at least Ford is on notice. It has been in the dealer a bunch and the last time for 3 days and they say "they can't find anything wrong with it.
