I'm doing this compilation a little early this year, our travels for the year are over and it seems like I'm not going to have much time outside of work to be taking alot of shots... hoping to steer my down time to writing some short scripts to shoot next year if I have the motivation. I like this song alot, I tried to match clips up with the meaning of light being a visual reminder of inspiration. Dynamic Range Stressing GH5s ProRes Raw Jack T. 2021-06-13 | Shot these a bit below normal exposure level, only small poritions of concrete in the background were at clipping (80% IRE for Vlog). Used the Premiere plugin to raise back up 1-2 full stops. Denoising was for sure needed in the shadows (Neat Video) but i feel like this method easily extends the 'usable' dynamic range of the GH5s despite claims that ProRes Raw does not enable more range over native 10-bit recording. Neat video keeps crashing my exports when used directly on the ProRes Raw footage in Premiere, is anyone else having this issue? had to denoise after first export pass with coloring. Used FilmConvert Nitrate and lowered the contrast way down to include the full range of that harsh sun in the background with the shadows of the garage. First try with GH5s and ProRes RAW Jack T. 2021-06-12 | I wish i knew how to color grade better to show off the amount of range thats been opened up with the ProRes Raw capture with a Ninja V. Super cool. Pulled exposure way down in post to try and saturate the sky and lowered contast a bitTrying out the c-mount 12.5mm lens with a IRcut and Variable ND stack, this little beast is 1.3f and pulls alot of light in!! Slowly playig with color grading again, its been a while, but was inspired by some ofthe ‘dusk’ natural light shots from Army of the Dead. Dont think i got close tho lol

Mind-Controlled VR MiniGame (Android) Jack T. 2021-04-28 | I made my first ever VR video game in Unity as a surprise gift for my friend, Dom, for his birthday. I think he enjoyed it. Game uses a modified Mindflex headset to pull the E-sense values over bluetooth classic protocols and using Nuerosky's supplied SDK for Unity3d. I played around with this idea in college but Unity had licesce barriers for using plugin SDKs for android builds and it was a major turnoff having to pay full price to get that feature. Game is also in Windows and a potential Mac (macs suck assholes) forms but i have to decide if i will supply a link to download them.
