Gosh Whisper. You inspire me, plain and simple. I'll hit the heart of it, since I probably don't have the word count for much else. Your humility, wisdom, honesty, and kindness are glimmering beacons of maturity and understanding. You are a beautiful Christian, a loyal friend, a sensitive soul full of love for all God's creation. I've learned so much from you, and I'm not just talking about the truly thrilling boon of historical and scientific information you can list off from the top of your head. Your heart is a treasure of instruction, your attitudes, far beyond your years. Yes you have your disappointments, your heartbreaks, but what I see, and what I will always see, is your soul. And I believe it very strong indeed.

If it seems odd to start off a birthday video with such sad VOs, then I should explain. *cough*lookslikeit'smystyle*cough* But actually I organized this vid as a journey. There are so many meaningful things that can be done with the films you enjoy most, but in light of what you've been experiencing with the loss of your best friend and horse, Jetta, I wanted to channel a theme of inspiration through loss. I can't truly know what you've been going through, but I do know that every sorrow can make one stronger and more beautiful, in time and with faith.
Otherwise, this vid has been mentally in the making for over a year. I missed your last birthday (shame on me!), perhaps because I had such huge ideas for it (still couldn't accomplish all the plans I had). Rather similar ideas to what you did on my birthday this last year, actually. A multifandom montage. Except I wanted to include Harry Potter clips, because I know that this particular fandom is very close to you (your Long Live Childhood Memories has been a great help in the making of this! That was a brilliant vid, sorry for the lack of a comment on it directly, but my gosh your comments on why you loved your fandoms spoke right to my heart). It took me a while to get all the HP footage I needed, even more an issue because (shh!) I've still not actually *watched* the movies through. My sis and I just know it's going to consume us (because it is *that* awesome), and we're not done with our current fandoms now (which includes, btw, BBC Sherlock!). So.. while my intent was to see HP *BEFORE* making this vid, that ended up not happening. Not the least because of busy schedules. But boy did I have a blast vidding Harry!
I also channeled a bit of PTERYX, whose Sherlock vids I've been really admiring lately. And oh look! An epic, inspiring song with "wolf" in the title! :D
