Celtic Music - Folktale (Fantasy Creed collab) Ravaranth 2025-01-19 | Some months ago I had the chance to collaborate with Fantasy Creed to create this unique music/artwork video. It is our own small way of paying respect to Adrian Von Ziegler, whose music has helped and inspired us. And for a few minutes I was somewhere else, on a pebbled shore outside time, where the ocean washes up slowly on shore and the sunset never ends. Relaxing Fantasy Music - Salt and Sea | Part 1 Ravaranth 2021-02-05 | This is a Relaxing Fantasy song, the first part of a piece called Salt and Sea. I wasn't sure how to title this song to be honest, it wasn't composed with a specific genre in mind. I settled with Relaxing fantasy, since it's not really "celtic" and it has a lot of orchestral elements. I was initialy inspired by the Serenity vst by Quiet music. I used it to make the waves and the background ambient at first and then started playing along with the harp. Celtic Music - Daughters of the Storm Ravaranth 2020-11-30 | This song is called Daughters of the Storm; I later realised there is a novel with the same name (which I usually try to avoid), but I find the title so cool that I didn't want to alter it. It started as an attempt to play along with some traditional celtic melodies, like whistle jigs. After that the music seemed to compose itself :P. I chose to add a bit of fiddle to the main melody as well as some bagpipes for the more fantasy parts. This was originally meant to be a slower, less fantasy and more emotional piece of music, but I quickly realised that the melody required a faster tempo. Emotional Celtic Music - Lovers Prayer Ravaranth 2020-10-29 | This is an emotional song dedicated to the seperation of lovers and the emptyness one feels in the absence of the other. Fundamentaly the song is inspired by stories of women saying goodbye to their sailor husbands before a long voyage at sea, praying and awaiting their return. From the beginning, this theme brought to mind sad irish ballads of old and, along with that, traditional celtic instruments like the whistle and the fiddle. That being said, I wanted the song to have a more fantasy element and addes string and a choir, which I think blends well with the celtic theme. Immortal spirit refers to the bravery and valor of heros faced with insurmountable odds, and how their courage or even sacrifice live on through tales and songs to inspire people for generations. Fantasy Score Music - Destiny Ravaranth 2019-08-18 | This is a fantasy score piece I wrote for a movie, a video game or anything else that fits really. The concept began as a request from a close friend. He wanted music to accompany a small indie video game that he was planning to make, and asked me to help. Eventually his project was delayed, but since I had already started on the music, I thought I should finish the work. This 4 minute song is only a part of what I had originally planned. Celtic Fantasy Music - Nights Secrets Ravaranth 2019-04-04 | This is a new celtic fantasy piece. it's a more relaxing song than the songs I usually make. It's also my longset song so far in duration and this was more or less by design. I wanted to make a slower, longer song that could be enjoyed passively while doing something else or relaxing. I thought it would be a fitting final song to end my collection.The artwork was what inspired the name of the song. For the music I experimented with some new ideas, mainly a glockenspiel-like instrument that I had never used before. I honestly love how it turned out. It makes the fantasy element very strong in the music and I find it also adds a mysterious tone. Celtic Fantasy Music - An Ancient Celtic Legend Ravaranth 2019-01-25 | My first song of 2019! This song is more fantasy oriented than most song I write, the title does not refer to a specific legend or hero but instead to something vague. For this song I used alot of folk instruments like the usual flute/tin whistle and also dulcimer for the intro and outro. On top of that, I made use of strings and choir like sounds to add a more fantasy element to the song. For the picture I used a simple stock picture, only slightly modified due to limited time. Celtic Music - Mourning Song Ravaranth 2018-12-12 | Mourning Song... this is a sad and somber song that I composed during the last three weeks or so. It's rather fluid in structure, the song is initially centered around a main melody played with a drone instrument, simulating a hurdy gurdy. Bagpipes and strings are also included in the following second part. I wasn't sure that the song should be classified as only celtic music, since it does have a fantasy sound, still it's not a typical fantasy song and I didn't want to give it that extra label. Celtic Music - A Tale of Earth and Sky Ravaranth 2018-11-10 | It has been some time since I last uploaded a song and, thankfully, I managed to finaly finish this one. It's a celtic song that was mainly inspired by soundtracks and scores for rpgs and other fantasy games. I struggled a lot with the title, I wanted something that would fit this idea of roaming the countryside and exploring a fantasy world, the picture I used also helped a lot (kinda reminds me of skyrim). Celtic Fantasy Music - Unbroken Ravaranth 2018-09-12 | This is Unbroken, a celtic fantasy/battle song that I composed. Unbroken came as an idea while I was thinking of a great battle scene, I wanted to compose something that would not only capture that scene but also stand on it's own as a musical piece. This is primarely a fantasy song, with full strings and percussion in the backround. However I still tried to retain the celtic feeling and using bagpipes certainly helped in doing that. For several reasons I will be taking a forced monthly (at least) break from music and, thus, any new projects will saddly be delayed... The idea of the vast ocean in front of you extending to the horizon as the sun sets and the winds blow slowly was central to the writing of the music. Celtic Medieval Music - Melody of the Leaves Ravaranth 2018-03-07 | This is a new Celtic/Medieval song that was, in part, inspired by the changing of the seasons and also by nature, trees and forest walks. I think it is simpler and more relaxing compared to other songs that I have made in the past.Behind the music I wanted to add an ambient sound of wind passing through leaves, so that the song brings to mind a walk in the forest, but unfortunately I couldn't find anything hight in quality. The theme is in the title and there is not much into it really... This beautiful photo provided the necessary inspiration for me to finish the song. Sad Emotional Music - In Isolation Ravaranth 2017-12-05 | There is not much to be said about this song, it took a short time to make and it is really simple. It is based on some melodies that I have for a couple of months now. I must admit, I am not really sure about the piano vst that I am using, something sounds off. Still, I wanted to make this song and this is all I have. The other melody is played by a viola. The song is obviously about isolation, loneliness, being alone and so on... Celtic Fantasy Music - Starlight Ravaranth 2017-09-15 | This is a more emotional Celtic song than what I usually make. I wanted to give it a magical fantasy feel while still having it be a simple composition. The melody is quite simple and there is not much to say about it. I wanted to make a sad and slow song that is also fantastical and celtic. A couple of techniques and tricks I used in this song are experimental for me and I am still figuring out if they work or not... I have been listening to more and more music of that kind for some time now and it has certainly influenced me. Medieval Music - Lady of the Lake Ravaranth 2017-08-14 | Yet another medieval song, this time inspired by the Arthurian legend and, more specifically, the mysterious Lady of the Lake. According to the story, she lives in Avalon and is responsible for giving the sword Excalibur to king Arthur. The image of her that I have in my mind, is actually her hand arising from below the surface of the Lake to hand over the sword. That picture has made that character very mysterious and intriguing for me. With this song I am trying to copy that feel. I used harp and some choirs to fill the backround, nothing too flashy. For a long time I wanted to make a song with Scotland in it's core and this is most likely not gonna be the last one. Medieval Music - Who Art In Heaven Ravaranth 2017-04-30 | This is another medieval song, this time with a more religious theme. I have to admit, it was the image that gave the inspiration for the song this time. It gives off a dark restless vibe, like a silent desperate prayer, too good of an opportunity to miss!! The title is a part from the Lord's Prayer in english.The music is simple, just the Dulcimer, Bass and some strings. It also is quite short, just 2 minutes or so. The dulcimer has an amazing sound and I try my best to replecate that. In the backdrop I also added some bells and chimes to fill in the gaps and make the sound more interesting. Relaxing Music - Clear Skies Ravaranth 2017-04-05 | This is another simple relaxing song, it has a positive vibe for a change and it was fun to make. It is based on an idea I have been carrying for a while now and never really got the chance to develop. For this one, I used an acoustic guitar for the main melody and another one for the chorus and harmonies. The solo parts are played by a piano and a violin, later on I added a viola to harmonize the violin. As a final note, I put some ambient synth sounds during the intro and the outro. Medieval Celtic Music - Hibernia Ravaranth 2017-02-20 | This is the second song with a medieval theme from what will, hopefully, be a collection of five medieval songs. It was a joy to write and a frustration to complete... There is a celtic tone to this song that was there from the beginning and I wanted to use that for the name.Hibernia is the classical Latin name for Ireland. Today it is used as a reference for a a lot of things associated with the island, much like Caledonia is used for Scotland. I found it fitting that a song like this would have something to do with the celtic culture in general and there is something mythical about Ireland specifically.For the song I used acoustic guitar, some percussion, flutes, celtic harp and a dulcimer, and yes I know it's not a traditional Irish instrument, but in my defence, it sounds amazing :P.The image is a photo of the Cliffs of Moher in western Ireland. Medieval Celtic Music - Under Crimson Sky Ravaranth 2017-02-05 | This song took a lot of time to make, much longer than I expected, and it is hopefully, the first of five songs using a medieval theme. I have wanted to make this collection for a while now but I didn't have the time.In the song I used harp and flute for the core melodies as well as timpani for percussion. For the backround I added some french horns with strings. I really loved that combination and, to be honest, I see myself using it a lot more in the future :P I avoided any more strings, violins and so on, because I wanted a more "folky" sound and not an orchestral one. Not much to the title, it was there from the beginning so I kept it as it was, even though the video now looks more ominus than it sounds...
